Have you test burned any yet? Did you get a full melt pool with those wicks? I used to have a candle business many years ago (20-25 yrs). Last Christmas, I got out my old candlemaking supplies & tried making candles for christmas gifts. There is alot of new wax's & wicks & I'm still trying to find a good combo. I'm fairly new to soap making & loving it so much! Thanks for all you do!
@susanbergling8781Ай бұрын
And FYI.....I've used those nail clippers for trimming wicks for years! I thought I was the only one! LOL
@EllenRuthSoapАй бұрын
On my burn test, they had a decent melt pool, but not perfect. You could go one size up than what I'm using.

Ellen these look fabulous. ❤ I use a straw to place the wick in the center of the bottom of the jar just slide I The straw on the wick.

I finally went to wood wicks, had a hard time with the waxed string. I get them from Brambleberry, they seem the, best but more expensive, so I order the longest ones then get more out of it, they burn all the way to the edge.
@susanbergling8781Ай бұрын
@@PrimalPathWellness Good to know! I tried some wood wicks last year & only about 50% of them would stay lit. I can’t remember where I got them, but I know it wasn’t brambleberry. I may try them.

How do you get your Avery labels so lined up? Ugh, I can never get them perfectly lined up like that. The scents you chose sound so so autumnal and yummy, btw
@EllenRuthSoapАй бұрын
Yes, I have a hard time lining up the labels too... lots of trial and error🤣

How do you like this wax compared to 464? Thanks for the great video!
@EllenRuthSoapАй бұрын
I'm loving the silky soy, it does have good glass adhesion and is so easy to work with.

@@EllenRuthSoapThanks for responding. I’ll have to look that one up.

Where do you get the fragrances you used?
@EllenRuthSoapАй бұрын
These ones are from BeScented.
@dodofrogsoapsАй бұрын
BeScented is where these fragrance oils came from. Hope that helps. 😊

I use Cdn 4 with those jars. Cdn 8 seems like too much

I saw there was a tiny bit left in the first pour and I wondered what all the scents would smell like mixed together.
@EllenRuthSoapАй бұрын
You read my mind! I poured all the extra bits of each candle into a small mason jar and made a candle for myself, and it smells amazing🤎
