Hello from Cannon Beach Oregon, my home number 2, since I live here for about half the year, & I live in Ellensburg the other half, my home number 1, since I grew up there, & it is an awesome place, just saying.

I came to Ellensburg for education in the late 90's and never left. I am a transplanted coasty (grew up in Renton, WA). I found the biggest shock was just how slowed down life is here. I has been a great place to raise kids.

Yes, it's a wonderful little city. I'd invite anybody who's interested to search for the Ellensburg song here on youtube. But please don't move here, we've got enough neighbors. 😂

Worst part of Ellensburg is the growth. I remember Ellensburg in the 80's and it was perfect when I would ride th bus over and babysit my cousin for a week.

Sorry but CWU started as a normal school (taught teachers) than it was a state college. It didn't become a university until late 70s

Thanks for the video! How bad is the wind? Does it affect outdoor activities? Are there areas it’s worse/better?
@LivingInWAState6 ай бұрын
Absolutely, you are welcome! The wind is bad in the spring. ( April-June) some days are okay, but most are 20mph average... and some wind storms can get up to 50mph.... so thats the reality... but the other 9 months of the year are not bad, summer and fall are AMAZING... If you are looking for a place that the wind isn't as bad, then your best bet is west side of the valley, close to Manastash area! If you have any other questions, let me know!
