Oh this video is so useful! I do hope it’s one of many to come. I have a few fabrics I have been given that I’m not exactly sure what they are. A video of identifying a fabric type or just a close up of how the fabric is structured would also be great. You remain my favourite ☺️ x

Great video, you gave me.more. confidence in using fabrics and patterns. I have a question though: here in Italy is rare to.find bargain on 4 way stretch fabric and, full price the fabric required cost almost like buying a.new garment 😅 if I choose a 2 way stretch fabric instead of 4.way do I have to make specific changes to the pattern apart from maybe upsizing the sleeves? This is an issue that stopped me from testing patterns I bought as almost all of them suggest/requires the 4 way stretch... Thanks a.lot for.your help! 🤗

Hmmmm....I bought this pattern to copy a RTW fav. The rtw doesnt have the shoulder cut outs but I will make them on the copycat. My question??? Why not roushing on the sides with elastic channels instead of the annoying ties? The original that I'm copying has the roushing and is a very thin mystery knit. I was hoping one of your 5 tops you showcase would have had that option. Those ties would drive me crazy.... Ooooh well

The fun part about sewing for ourselves is that we can TOTALLY change whatever we like. If the ties are annoying Pop them right off and use elastic (which is a fab idea by the way…) It’s so fun, and easy to make something all about what you like. OHhhh If you only saw how hard it was for me to position myself in this room LOL! I have a giant couch RIGHT next to me, and I was trying really hard NOT to have the couch in the video..Unfortunately that meant having to stand in front of the window :-( I need to get a lens for my camera that can zoom in a bit better so I don’t have to worry about positioning so much. I bet you can feel my pain! But YES, you are so right about the light. :-) thank you so much for watching and coming to comment for sure yay!
