Hellraiser: Angelique special fx makeup tutorial

First out in our Hellraiser sfx makeup series is the epic Angelique. This Angelique special fx makeup tutorial will definitely turn you in to the hottest and most stomach turning creature of the Halloween party. With an open skull and wires stretching the skin out on the shoulders this Hellraiser classic will hopefully have you waiting for the Pinhead and Chatterer as well.

Honestly I stumbled across this channel when my 4 year old niece had a bad dream about monsters. I wanted to show her that what she sees on TV isn't real. So I thought if I let her see the process of how people transform themselves into monsters, demons, and zombies she'd see that they aren't real. She's grasped that they are just people in makeup. However, she has also become obsessed with watching these videos. She can recite all the steps. She will sit still forever watching these, she's mesmerized. Because of that I've become a bit obsessed too. Love it. Can't wait for Halloween to try some of these looks out!

Yep, Goldiestarling did an amazing job with the Valak, I think that type of makeup is not this so fx, is more an artistic (body painting) tipe, but The Conjuring/Supernatural movie franchise has some alsoeme demons that fit nice here

For anybody wanting to cover their eyebrows: If you're having trouble covering the darkness of your eyebrows, take a foundation warmer than what you would normally use (or even an orange shade) & use it as your first layer over your eyebrows after gluing & powdering them. Dark eyebrows have a blue undertone to them, so taking a contrasting shade of foundation will help you hide them better!

+Gabby Messina Glue doesn't harm them, but it's a bitch to get out! You can also use spirit gum & scar wax. With wax, you can take a piece of thread & scrape it off of where you placed it & usually spirit gum comes with spirit gum remover.

The skin flaps aren't realistic in shape. Like if you fold it over the skull it wouldn't just fit back over the skull shaped like that... Just an oval the same size as your skull piece cut in half would have been more realistic. (Not sure what the original character looks like though. It may be unrealistic on purpose)

the Angelique actually looks pretty realistic in the movies. when I saw this show up i was so excited, (I love hellraiser movies and the comic) but after seeing the execution I'm disappointed, her skills are awesome but yea it's just not right..(and I wasn't named after her I was named after Angelique from a old soap called "Dark Shadows")

atached the head piece with tape was not nice at all, the result is fine, but she has done better in looks way harder than this, the flap skin looks like a vagina and not scalp skin tape showing, in the head and in the cheast and yeah, the shoulder pieces looked wrong in some way

I really with the flaps were shorter....they don't make sense. If you were to fold those over on top of the "skull" they would DRASTICALLY overlap each other. They are supposed to meet up in the center to be realistic.

They are long cus they are supposed to look stretched :) Latex however isn't that stretchy so there for they need to be long. But when you do the look feel free to make them however long you'd like them to be
