Does anyone else have this problem...Started listening to elliot casually as I stumbled upon him in a record store and recognized the name from goodwill hunting. But he has completely hijacked my life. It's virtually all I listen to. Every once in awhile I get sick of it for about an hour and then its 3 more months of elliot. And i'm not one of those oh i'm so depressed my life is horrible i'm a drug addict (debatable) types. I just am goddamn obsessed with all his music. Love every last drop, can not get enough. Send help, please

Elliott is just a gift that keeps on giving. It's unbelievable how after so long of listening to him I can still manage to find something new about his music to fall in love with pretty regularly. Makes me wonder how his sound would have evolved over the years and what kind of music he'd be making today

ONE OF ELLIOTTS BEST SETLISTS... dang man... sorely missed bro, i would turn up every gig if he was still alive, its hard if not impossible to find song writers these days who have the same level of natural talent and understanding of how to write pretty much any song ever... id say its like down to a small bunch of musos who truely can do it all on there own.. elliott smith was one of those song writers who you just couldnt write his songs better if you tried.

I think that every time I listen to New Moon. As far as IFYO, I find it hard to believe that he didn't like it that much. If he was sweet on Mary Lou Lord at all he would have wanted to write a good song for her to record, and he did record it during the Either/Or sessions.
@knuckle12356
@knuckle12356 Жыл бұрын
@@joelglanton6531 yeah, but it does happen here and there. Also he mentions it was written during a phase which would make its "Eagles" style guitar work hand in glove. He could have really dug it at the time of writing it. And who knows; maybe MLL had some very specific notes for her present...so he could have written a song according to all this diff'rent input, and wind up with some American power ballad. And who's to say, maybe she LOVES it, which is a rxn to his work he loves to see from a crush. I mean, I doubt it. Buwha-if? O.o Cheers
