This song in particular makes me so upset because it shows the direction that Elliott’s work was going in which had SO MUCH potential for truly transcendental noise music. I feel like we were robbed of an artistic breakthrough that no one has been able to match.

Yeah it hurts a lot cause it seems like he was going to end up making some truly glorious noise electronic music. It's kinda mind blowing how much talent he had.

I'm beyond grateful for the huge catalog of music that we do have, but I agree he was honestly just getting into some of the most innovative sounds of his career. Basement is my favorite album and my one wish would have been for him to finish it his way, but to see songs like this I can only imagine the stuff he had brewing beyond Basement.

Is this the only song of Elliot made like this? I don't know this artist yet but I like this sooo much

This song scares the shit out of me.. It's dark, moody and very haunting and has an oncoming anxiety attack feel.. and that is saying the least for it.. RIP Elliott

@@BeamMeUpAlready we all have things within our psychic mind that can be drawn out within certain art.. That's why i have Eraserhead on here cause it haunted me.. But to face fears head on is to have no fear at all...

Reminds me of being between frequencies. Almost dialing in a clear connection. Then the inevitable static crashing down. I dreamt the sky was blue and white static. Like an old tv left on all night. I became weightless and felt like I was floating like a balloon. Slowly rising rising rising. The static was like a magnet. Then the floating started to feel like falling backwards or in reverse and became scary af. I can't wake up.

I can barely listen to this. It actually breaks my whole soul. This song is the secrets of the universe and Elliott knew so much more than I ever will.

this is what it feels when the sun comes up after an awful day, the echos of yesterday still linger but it burns to know there is something new infront of you. A positive reverberance of your past experiences bringing you to where you are and the terror you fought along the way. God Bless us all and God Bless elliott.

My mind and belly keep reaching out for each other. Mind telling belly to ease up that swishing anxiety that swells in levitated reverse. while my belly sends vibrations to my brain to jump outta the box when I get locked in the confines of comfort. All the while my heart holds both their hands in a lightened grip just enough to be connected

Does anybody know which effects/technique one would use to achieve a sound like this?
@thomascraymer87128 ай бұрын
I'd also like to know... many of the guitars here sound rewinded, I'm guessing reverse reverb and a tremolo pedal for the main guitar (or synth) melody, hard to tell if it's a guitar or synth For the distorted guitar, I managed to achieve a similar sound on one of my songs (similarly to this one, it was a noise instrumental)... a light fuzz, heavy distortion, then rewind it

The point of Elliott’s music is to enlighten you. To make you realize that feeling what you feel is okay. He understood very well what life was about and I think he’d be happy to hear you gained insight on your life path through his music.
