ELO performs Laredo Tornado from the album Eldorado live in 1974. I obtained the audio from a separate source than the video. I restored, remastered and created a stereo soundtrack from the mono audio. Hope you enjoy this version.

I get chills when Kelly comes in at 1:42…"what can you do when your dream word is gone"…his voice stayed pitch perfect for his entire life, and it's almost impossible to discern 1974 from 2008. Great job on a deep, deep album cut.

That's Mike de Albuquerque on bass, not Kelly. Kelly came just a bit later.

No, that is absolutely Kelly...Mike A was credited on the album , but Kelly joined for the Eldorado tour. Kelly's high voice is so distinguishable.

Mike Edwards and Kelly Groucutt together - must have been one of Mike's last appearances and one of Kelly's first. Kelly's voice was just perfect as a blend with Jeff's.

That does not look like Kelly Groucutt--but it is. He really made the difference in this band in singing the higher harmonies. In fact, this is a pretty groovy song; this live version sounds better than the vinyl album.

this is one of the most awesome songs they've done in the early years of their career. I can't explain much other than that. It simply has everything you want your ears to hear through the whole song. It looks like summer days are going to continue for this Jeff Lynne music wizard. That is all I have to say.

The audio was from a higher quality recording from the same performance. Mike De Albuquerque left before the Eldorado album was even finished. Kelly is singing alongside Jeff Lynne on this one.

I don't claim ownership of this or any video I upload. The source audio was from a different source than the video's audio. The video I got was from P2P network and the audio was from an ELO fan site. All of these videos on You Tube actually belong to the original broadcast company and not any of us uploaders. I consider elodevi a friend and at no time do I want to infringe on any of his or fellow ELO fans uploads. i want ELO fans to have access to the highest audio and video quality available.

First off, I'm totally stoked to get the skinny on just when DeAlbuquerqe exited and Groucutt took his place. I knew it was sometime in '74 when the change took place. Either way, we know it was a blessing for sure when Groucutt came in. However, it's just freekin' WEIRD to see this early footage of him without the perm or overgrown handlebar 'stache that has become such an unofficial trademark in the minds of us ELO fans worldwide. Otherwise, Great performance!

@elofan67 Rolling Stone is not Jesus Christ, though Jann Wenner thinks it (he) is. When a magazine puts Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga and other non-rock acts on the cover, and they continue to slag heavy metal (unless it's Metalllica) and prog (unless it's Genesis), then they are not a real rock and roll magazine. I've said it before, the only great thing or person to come out of Rolling Stone was Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman. After Thompson offed himself, RS lost any street cred it had

The "MC" (!) "Whispering" Bob Harris was famed for his, er "laid back" manner. This was the early Seventies, don't forget, when it was the norm to be so laid back you were horizontal. Bob championed great music on British TV when no-one, but no-one else was doing it, and he absolutely LOVED music, despite his chilled demeanour! He still presents radio shows on UK radio.
