This is by far the best version of this song that i have heard. What a fantastic band, and the're having so much fun doing it. I am so lucky to have found ELO back in 72. I bought every single and album since and saw them twice in concert.

This was ELO's version of metal (notice the dark tint and the black light on the album cover). It isn't heavy per se, but more the idea that this is what heavy metal would have sounded like if ELO decided to do it full time. That sort of thing. It goes along with the energy put into the art of music back then and, though most of the super bands hated it, they felt they had to address the genre started by Black Sabbath. The keyboardist is allowed to roam and show prowess on this album.

Really a rockin' version on this classic hit from Electric Light Orchestra. The sound will live on forever. Long live Rock'n'Roll!

in the early 70s in the American south if you said Electric Light Orchestra to anyone they said...huh...when they came to Fayetteville NC instead of the sellouts I usually attended for someone like The Allman Brothers only about 1500 showed up....they blew the crowd away...best concert I think I ever saw. Definitely top 3.

@Forsure3333 That's the massively talented Michael de Albuquerque. Check out his solo works from that time, particularly his "We May Be Cattle But We've All Got Names" album featuring Ollie Halsall on guitar. You won't be disappointed.

Jeff looks happy and he made a lot of elo fans happy... face the music ...new world record tours were the best concerts i ever saw they had the live show down.. the live sound had a raw edge to it almost better than Jeff's produced records...i just wish Jeff would have rewarded Kelly G. for his important role in bringing elo to the top..sadly Jeff's selfishness won out and Kelly had to beg and sue for a 1/2 million dollar bonus...i lost respect for Jeff L who "was" my fav artist

mreloo, Jeff DID reward Kelly more than you or I know. First off, despite warning Kelly against making a solo album at that juncture, Jeff allowed him to utilise the other ELO members for it. Just as Jeff predicted, the album flopped and Kelly damn near went into the poorhouse. Because of the album's failure, Kelly began asking for more money. which not only hare-lipped Jeff but manager Don Arden as well. If Jeff didn't dismiss Kelly, Don would have

They were really cooking! Love ELO THE ORIGINAL band and then with Kelly. Sad that Mike Edwards was killed. Then Hugh McDowell had a heart attack/stroke. He ended up a school teacher. Probably his health was affected by stress. I was shocked that Jeff Lynne who I always thought highly of only used Mik Mike and Hugh as contract musicians. Evidently they could be got rid of at will. I thought each and everyone of them was talented and the cellos/ violin made them what they were.Bad Karma Jeff.
