An overview needed for the OSL, Autodesk put these features without explaining nothing about them.

There are tutorials by Autodesk about how to use OSL. I think the full use of the feature will come with Material X.

@@F10F11hm well, as you use biped you dont need a curve editor, , max editor its just old but has all user needs. its not like its old and not functional, retarget its already there, they are working on that, econdary motion physics like in Unreal , any software has one of this. maya has a pluging for this ragdooll dinamics. So i dont know, belive me. max need any to be better than maya or any software, Its just people perception. Max its perfect as it. But will be better im sure, They are working on better stuff and better UI,

@@Maxdesign3d sorry but you are coping really hard, max animation tools in comparision to maya are old and terrible, of course - if you are skilled animator you will animate in every soft, but animating in max is painfull - only positive thing is CAT, but they haven't update it for a loooong time.

2024 updates were amazing with some really useful stuff, but these 2025 ones are quite underwhelming so far, I admit.

I like Max but these recent barebones updates are why I recently canceled my Max sub and advise others who are able to do the same. Don't pay for mediocrity if you can avoid it. 😁

It's impossible for those of us who are trying to learn and not in a professional studio attempting to pay for a max sub plus vray ... ...which has an interest rate for the pay monthly plan that would make loansharks blush. I hate Blenders' workflow but I can see why so many people are still making the change.
