Seven years ago we met Barry and he told my wife and I how this song came about. Barry and his brother Paul were visiting Richard Harris and Richard played them the demo of Macarthur Park that was going to be released. Paul was impressed, went home, stayed in his room for thee days and came out with this song Eloise. Barry did not believe that it would work but Paul did. History has shown that both Eloise and Macarthur Park are two of the most fabulous pieces of music produced at that time.

An incredible piece of music from the late 60s......knocked off the top of the chart by a dreadful piece of music. This is an amazing work of art.

We were really happy that we were teenagers in those decades when we could listen to and dance to such good quality music, bands, songs like Eloise was as well ! It was real art! By the way that blond head-banger does not disturb me among the other dancers, there was a good free atmosphere around there. I focus on Barry's brilliant performance anyway. Many thanks for Wearyoldman -who shared this video for us!
