I reallllyyyyy hope they make Eloise and Theo endgame. I mean, why would they even introduce Theo - a character so incredibly compatible with Eloise - if they still wanted to make her end up with Sir Phillip? In the books, Eloise indeed only ends up as someone's wife and never truly acts on her feminist desires. The show doesn't have to be so constricted in its treatment of Eloise! Especially after what Penelope says to her in the last episode - that she only TALKS about doing something, but has never really done anything. I don't care if they change her whole story. I don't care if they make Eloise end up as a spinster if that's what it should take for her to accomplish whatever SHE wants. I just don't want to see her end up with a widower who is like a century older than her and has two kids 🙄 So, I guess it's either Theo or nobody. Just because the book failed Eloise terribly, doesn't mean the show has to follow in its footsteps. I would indeed love to see Eloise fight for social justice and women's liberation, together with Theo, and become some kind of a historical icon ❤

All I can tell you is: 1 - Respect above all for the fans of each book. You may not have liked Eloíse's book, but there are many people who like and wait to see her and Mr Philip. Would you like me to change the pair of your favorite couple? 2- Until the season of Eloíse they will create plots so that she can have a narrative. 3 - Why would they bring Mr Philip since the first season and make a point of showing a little more about him and his taste for botany, if not to prepare Eloíse's story?! 😉

I think it won't happen as the next story is of Benedict and Sophie (if they go by the book series)and it's a very hard to portray a story like that and I think Eloise would be the girl who would add some sense to her brother mind because of what happened with her and Theo and help him as Benedict is always the wise one and he also needs a break and need someone like Sophie. Also what all happened with her this season she would be heart broken and violet would definitely see that so she will allow Eloise to take a break from marriage Mart and she will have more time to explore herself and do what she wants to. Maybe she will try to connect with other people through writting letter. As the only people she was ever close with was pen and she turned out to be lady whistledown and ofcourse Theo and we all know how that ended. And don't worry the Bridgerton team would take out one or other way to make Eloise a strong and independent women.

They’ve already written the second season so different than the book and they can do the same with Eloise if they wish. Besides she’s a Bridgerton, she probably has a large dowry enough to be kept for all her life and her family would keep her well enough anyways. There’s no need for her , really, to marry Sir Phillip. Even tho I did enjoy her book. Point- she can be with Theo. Violet , when Benedict fell in love with a house maid told him to follow his heart and I believe she would do the same for Eloise after watching how much she might love him, like she saw it with Benedict . And she can follow her passions .

I think it was stated in the book that he was 30 and she was 28, but I understand why you thought that because looking at their live action counterparts he does like 10 years older than her. But I was mega disappointed in Philip's character, as it really did come across that he only wanted a sexy babysitter he can shag. The author tried to sell it otherwise but it just didn't come across that way. But I feel like the potential is there and Netflix can positively change his character and their story to be a bit more well-suited for Eloise.

He doesn't want to look after them (albiet, he does love them, he's just scared of being abusive like his own father was to him). But he pays 0 attention to his children still. Then when he actually meets Eloise for the first time he quite likes her looks and they begin to get along (rather questionably). But he still desperately wants to marry her to ensure that his children have a mother. And he quite literally envisions his marriage as spending all night with Eloise sexually, whilst in the day he wants to spend 0 time with her. And we're supposed to feel sorry for him because he hasn't really been with a woman in 8 years, as if that's an excuse for rushing Eloise to the alter so they can shag, and basically use her as a nanny by day and a lover by night. He expects her to just look after the kids 24/7 whilst he's doing his hobbies and when she complains he calls her ungrateful and the sort. He does realise he'd been in the wrong at the end, but it's never really addressed.

Aside from Kanthony, I was also interested in these two. I have always loved Eloise because she's a non-conformist. And I liked that this season, she has met Theo whom she connected with intellectually. Someone who wants to discuss things she's interested about. So if the showrunners decided to not pursue her story like in the book. I want them two together. I imagine scenes like Eloise finally acknowledging the disparities of her class and Theo's, the problem with how society treated women during that time, etc. And eventually Theo falling for her too and puts pressure on himself to fit in in Eloise's life. Since Kate and Anthony will be back next season and will head the household, I imagine that Anthony will so be against Theo and Eloise, but Kate will support Eloise with her decision (this is also connected to how Eloise and Kate connected this season 2). This Not only adds to the dynamic of Eloise-Theo match, but also to the relationship of Anthony and Kate. I imagined a ball scene where Eloise once again is forced to attend and Theo showing up well suited. I dont if that's allowed during that time. But I parallel it to the Titanic scene where Jack was suited up to attend the upperclass people's dinner. Ughhhhh anyway, this is just what I imagined it to be. I have not read the books so I cant comment if it's a great story. But in terms of film media, I really watch for entertainment. And this time, I think us-against-the-world trope would be an interesting and entertaining story to adopt.

At this point if they try to make Eloise end up with Sir Phillip like in the books they'll only be doing a disservice to her character and how they've developed her over this season and last. Theo not only shares her views of women's rights, he challenges her to think and expand her understanding beyond what is available to her in her closed society. He won't try to change Eloise to make her into a "proper lady and wife", he'll support her, her aspirations, and her non-conformist ways. Not only will he support them, he'll likely encourage them. Theo is the kind of person -- love interest or friend -- that is best for Eloise and the path that she wishes to find herself on.

I will never forgive Penelope for ripping these two apart. I believe they should end up together they were such a fit both challenging each other in their own ways. If Eloise were to end up with sir Philip it would be a waste towards her character. She is not fit to be a wife let alone a step mom. Theo challenges her intelectual mind and shows her things that she’s always been secluded of. He pushes her to be her very best and doesn’t ask her to change or to be a “proper lady” as she asked to by others. I think Eloise deserves to have a good ending. If she's a feminist, then I hope she continues to be. She changed a lot, and I believe the best partner for her is someone who's willing to change and grow with her as well. Eloise is such a breath of fresh air to us who don't care that much about marrying or even having romantic relationships. We live in a world where everything happens too fast and we get so tired of it all, tired of not fitting. I hope they keep this side of hers, if not...I think Theo is the character that can actually change for her without looking out of character, which I cannot say the same for Sir Phillip.

Sorry if truth doesn’t follow the border drew around Eloise, in her book, it was a flat story of how-to-rush-Eloise-to-altar, onto the tv version, the Sir Philip actor looks like Eloise older brother or young uncle from another, then came this new pairing of her with Theo who meets her essence on all levels? Of course Shonda world can take the safe route to remove this chemistry when it’s Eloise season, but we can’t unsee nor pretend she didn’t crossed path with her better half in Theo, they bring out the best and truest form in one another, Eloise and Theo are #endgame or spare us the safe flat book storyline #EloiseBridgerton

Sir Philip is a nice guy as they clearly showed us in season 1 and season 2 and I do really think he deserves some one who loves him and appreciates him...but to be honest I can not see Eloise as that someone. She needs someone who can listen and take her thoughts into account, some one who shares her views and doesn't hold her back...that is clearly Theo. We had so little of them this season and still they left a really big impression. I do hope that since the writers said they weren't following the books this is one of those changes. Eloise is much spunkier and outspoken than in the books, she could end up alone and I wouldn't mind but this show is about love, the different romance stories of each bridgerton and I'd love for that to remain for the whole show in general. What better change in her story than for her to fall in love and eventually end up with someone that defies the rules of upper class society and they're expectations. She is obviously attracted to Theo though a bit scared about the prospect of love holding her back, but he is honest and also fights for women's rights, I doubt he would try to trap her or discourage her. If Eloise is controversial for her time period then her love should be as well.

Penelope saved her best friend from the queen even though it hurts her to be the one to tarnish her own best friend’s reputation. She did what she had to do and rightfully so if I must say. It was Eloise who let go of Theo. She may be forced in doing so but deep down she knows that their relationship is something that should not happen in the first place, at least in her world.

@@ally2117 I'm not talking about her writing about Eloise. Penelope told Eloise that she shouldn't meet theo as people are talking about them, when infact no one even knew, except for the queen ofcourse. Eloise couldn't give a damn about lady whistledown , I doubt that it was lady whistledown who stopped Eloise from meeting theo but Penelope. I'm pretty sure that penelope, her best friend's opinion matters a lot more to her than some gossip mongerer according to her. Eloise is a rebel anyway. I'm pretty sure Penelope's words got to Eloise mixed with whistledown and also her resistance from love which theo tried to kiss her, which made her seperate herself from theo. Though it hurt Penelope to tarnish eloise's reputation, 2 out of the three reasons were her , and that is why i hate her for stopping Eloise from meeting theo. I love Penelope but this was just sad
