People romanticising antisocial behaviour and standoffish elitist approaches to human interactions as signs of great intelligence is kind of sad. It’s good to treat others with kindness and attentiveness.

On the business side, making deals relies on having a poker face so seeming aloof and uninterested was considered an advantage. I hope that changes with more diversity in the field though since not everybody operates that way. You can be strategic and successful without being an awkward jerk

Doesn't apply to the ULTRA WEALTHY. You do what you want or pay someone to do it for you. Anything literally means *anything* when you're that rich. You want a new 0rgan? No problem! This is how I feel about myself, too. Sometimes I think it is a self fulfilling prophecy at a certain point. You worry about your inability to communicate and it disables you in the moment. I have been trying to go a little easier on myself and try to focus on asking questions that allow people to talk about themselves and then I try to just listen, maybe ask specific questions for clarity or to allow them to elaborate further. Small talk is a bit of an art form, but one must exercise great patience with it. It truly is mostly boring. It isn't the small talk or boring conversation that irks me. Shallowness of character and lack of basic human decency are unacceptable to me. Wealth, power, attractiveness, talent all tend to attract people on a very surface level. High intelligence is intriguing. Heartlessness and shallowness repel. I never did like shallow people very well, regardless of how much money or power they had. People pay attention to Elon more than they did before because of wealth accrued ... partially. They usually want his money, or to have their moment of "fame" with him. That's shallow AND transparent to him too. Be real. It beats being surface friendly. It beets shallow and insincere every single time. If someone like Elon has interest in you, he would seek you out and approach you personally after asking associates to seek you out first. Seriously. Tallulah knows this, as do other friends and associates.

Many people with aspergers struggle with small talk. Aspergers constantly have to ajust thier conversations and they are not met half way. Neurorypicals have to learn to at least try to meet us half way. It should be a two way street.

He benefitted from that wealth. Now he is the richest man in the world. People need to stop acting like it’s a crime to be born in a family with money. People are just insecure. The heck?
