August 20th, 500 in ONE SHIFT. November 12th, 1,000 in a SINGLE DAY. You’re not comparing Apples to Apples. So you can’t say that they DOUBLED their production in just 2 months. They don’t say how many shifts they have in a single day. If they have just one shift then you’re correct and they doubled production in 2 months. But, if they have 2 shifts then that statement fails miserably. It would just mean that they can average 500 units per shift.

No, you turn it off as it's about to make a mistake and it learns from how you drive it

Your car does not learn. If the car detects an issue it sends the information for the issue to Tesla. If Tesla deems the new issue important then it includes the new information into the training data. Periodically Tesla retrains the model and uploads the new model to all cars that are running the right version(s). This can take days or weeks.

If you look at the numbers, in order for Jason DeBolts comment to be true, he would have to now own around $20 million worth of Tesla stock at this point, assuming that Tesla has more than doubled in the last seven months. I am not buying that.
