It will, if the “$25K car” doesn’t cost $35K. Although that would be decent, $25K would be much, much better. It doesn’t have to be particularly fast, in fact, its chassis should be well up to the task, relative to power, but it must have good range. 300 miles is a must, and 400 would be a miracle, but very cool! 400 miles of range is more than most people will ever need in a day, and 0-60 in 6-7 seconds would be OK!

This model 2 would literally be the symbol for how they've cornered the EV market officially. No, ford, Chevy, Nissan are not competing with Tesla's ever in the future. Because when Tesla promised a full self driving EV for 25k, you say, "that sounds to good to be true." When Ford, Chevy, and Nissan tell you they're giving you the same thing, you ..wait you don't hear that because that's never happening

My 2018 VW GTI is approaching the end of its warranty. At 80.3 years old, I don't drive as much as I used to. But I still appreciate performance. Planning to test drive a Model 2. Most highway patrols will let you skate at 79 mph so I don't need the 137 mph (experimentally verified--VW says 155 is possible). Handling still matters. We'll see.

If the battery outlasts the car, there should be a healthy used-battery market. Entrepreneurs might buy used batteries, put them in cars that need them, and sell them at a profit. If bodies could be perfectly rustproofed, it might be possible to keep electric cars for a very long time! That might spin out a bunch of new business opportunities, repainting, repairing and refitting automobiles. A lot of energy goes into building a car. They should be built to last, so we can build fewer of them. Call me an anticapitalist, but everything we make should be made better, so it doesn’t have to be replaced “every 10 minutes.” I wrote “shouldbe,” so AI spell checking suggested “shoukd be,” lol!
