The 'Palestinians' are just a group of Arabic people; they don't have a unique language, culture or history. Yes, Palestine is a tiny colony within the Arabic world, which is why I'd suggest they give it to the indigenous people of the land, who lived there for 1700+ years before the Arabic people left the Arabic Peninsula.

It's not an eye for an eye. What people miss is that Israel, quite openly actually, tried to coexist with hamas (accepting it to be the sovereign of gaza) by slowly giving more options to gazans and endorsing the (huge) financial support they were given from every corner. Some say it was way too little too slow, but that fact remains true. Israel kept investing in the Iron dome for protection so they can keep ignoring constant attacks from Hamas on the south of Israel, even when these attacks severely damaged farmers, even when citizens there were constantly begging for the government to do something because they were bombed and aimed at a lot, Israel barely retaliated. Even one of Hamas' leaders openly admitted they intentionally sent the vibes they are 100% preoccupied with the development of Gaza and have no desire for aggression or conflict, so israel will be numb. So it's unfair to simplify it for an eye for an eye, the attack of Hamas simply made Israel understand that ignoring the obvious flags was wrong and now their paying for it. Another thing to understand is the atrocities that were done to the people of the south in Israel made them declare they would not return until the government (which neglected them) can ensure absolute safety, and that's critical. They do not trust empty promises anymore, and Israel cannot abandon an entire area in it's own territory barren, especially one that was thriving. Netanyahu is the main target for these claims and he cannot remain anymore in office: he was the one who lead this lenient approach towards hamas, and his policies were the ones that lead Israel to this state.

I think Elon is missing the point here because the hatred is based in Islam, it is part of the religion to wipe out Jews. There are even verses from the Quran that the Muslims quote all the time. This hatred stemming from religious beliefs of Islam is the root cause of the hatred. Unless you change the Quran You cannot remove the hatred that is why this problem continues over millennia.
