Yah…. OK… So, instead of plugging your car into the grid to charge your car. You plug your car into the grid, to charge the grid. I think not….

diamond battery right now is only providing a few volt... low power.... still far ahead to see a nuclear battery

Radium or Uranium in the negative side of the batteries with vapor deposited synthetic diamonds on the positive.

You can make an array of these battery cells to get whatever voltage/current rating you need. The real question is will it be cost/size/weight prohibitive to do so.
@MeColinYouWho3 ай бұрын
If the battery lasts for hundreds of years, you could buy the car and they rent you the battery? Rental batteries could be a big money spinner for investment companies and pension funds

Maybe they can start with building nuclear beepers instead. A beeper never requires recharge will definitely impress a lot of survivalists.

No one will get stuck on a battery for 10 years when new technology comes up they'll replace it...and the car too LOL
@springtrap_66pg66Ай бұрын
ez, when the car kapoots, remove battery and place it in new car. Cars and batteries are sold seperately and the battery you have is yours forever :) or how ever long it's supposed to last.

May be theoretically possible, but how many cost, mfg and regulatory hurdles have to be overcome before they are a reality Same with the graphene battery, haven’t yet figured out how to produce the graphene at an affordable cost in needed quantities
@paladindibenedetto7698Ай бұрын
UK Atomic Energy Authority and University of Bristol just cracked this problem Dec 2nd 2024.
@TheHooverwhoАй бұрын
It is not theoretical... a group in the UK has invented this... but is is tiny...and only enough power to run a watch or in the future a pacemaker....no where close to a car yet....and it uses nuclear isotopes at the tiny level is less radiation than our body puts out naturally. But large enough to run a car... how much radiation? Also, the isotope is encapsulated in the diamond. Using the refraction of the diamond to create energy with a half life of almost 6000 years... but is it possible to make with a large enough capacity to run a car??

Other issues are the Gas & Oil companies along with the Car and Power companies. These nuclear batteries are another game changer and profit killer. Elon Musk has explained this concept in a low technical way but this idea is feasible but China and BRICS countries will do it first because they have the means of production to create and promote the concept!!!! Plus, these same companies will try to stop or slow it down to control it!!! Remember when cars replaced the Horse and Buggy market back in the early 1900s, it put them out of business.. Nikolai Tesla try to do it with Free Energy and J. P. Morgan and J.D. Rockefeller killed that idea and stole his research and hid it!!! So progress is stifle again until the BRICS nations step in to push this concept into reality...😮😮😮
