I am from the UK, work hard and have done so for 45 years now with little to show for it. I would be 100% OK living in one of these, in fact I would be over the moon with this. Problem we have in the UK though is that land is massively expensive and controlled by "certain people" shall we say for now and any type of creative thinking is stamped on. I would pay treble for one of these homes and ever pay towards the land to place it, but it is totally impossible

@ChaCha-lt8rx The company (BOXABL) is sort of a scam (haven't done almost anything they promised and have just been collecting investors' money for the last 6-7 years). Elon never said he was working with them, but has checked their products before and the foldable home he got it was rumored it was a boxAbl but he never said for a fact it was, but the company acted like they were a direct partner Elon, which was never true. If anything, Elon might buy this semi-shell company down the road (what they probably would love) or make his own Tesla brand, but good luck trying to get it down to 10k. It will more than likely be starting at 50k or more easily (cost of materials going updates, supply and demand). If they are super common one day and have good competition, I could see brand new 30k for a small base unit (that still have a toilet shower and kitchen) at cheapest.

Which will both lower the cost of the house as well as allow it to be more lightweight." What the hell was it made of before that's heavier and more expensive than hardwood? I can see a market for it. It's very simple, frugal, and very minimalist. I'm more concerned about how will it be adapted for reigons that experience all four seasons. Like for instances, the cold and wet regions. How well insulated will they be without spiking the price on them? How will they affect insurance especially if you live areas that have a lot of natural disasters?

This kind of house is good for specific cases such as people who are alone and do not need big and expensive places or for people who lost their houses from natural disasters and need somewhere to live without delays.But if you need a proper house you need space and some architecture that will make you love your place and not just a box.You are not an item to live in a box.

I think the idea is AWESOME, but the fact is I anticipate the house will not be 10,000 and it will be boycotted by ordinances. We live in an era in which 99 percent do not really care about the suffering of the 1 percent. It will stay that way until catastrophe happens and evens out the score of living standards. In this advertisement alone it's 😂 obvious. Elon DID NOT sell everything and move into a Cassita. It's a gig. Finished quarters such as this one will cost no less than 60,000 to 100,000 pending on many factures. Awesome would have been that they additionally Company finance because no one out here has 60,000 laying around and its not like these house sway in the air, the property has to be purchased aswell. Or make the house self-sufficient with Electricity, Water like RVs have.
