Here’s an idea.. why not drop fuel prices to $2.0/gallon by drilling, an charge a tax of $.25/gallon for renewables. As long as fuel stays low, the tax remains. If fuel goes up, the tax decreases. 376M gallons pumped each day in America = $34B annually in tax revenue. Everyone wins.

AI Comment: Thorium-based nuclear reactors are a promising technology, but they are not yet commercially practical. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: * Abundant Resource: Thorium is more abundant than uranium, which could potentially reduce the cost of fuel. * Reduced Nuclear Waste: Thorium reactors produce less long-lived nuclear waste compared to traditional uranium-based reactors. * Inherent Safety: Some reactor designs, like molten salt reactors, are inherently safer due to their liquid fuel state and passive safety features. * Proliferation Resistance: Thorium fuel cycles are less prone to nuclear weapons proliferation compared to uranium cycles. Cons: * Technological Challenges: Developing and commercializing thorium reactors requires significant technological advancements and research. * High Initial Costs: The initial investment for building thorium reactors and developing the fuel cycle is substantial. * Limited Infrastructure: Existing nuclear infrastructure is primarily designed for uranium-based reactors, so transitioning to thorium would require significant modifications. * Public Perception: There may be public concerns about the safety and environmental impact of nuclear power, which could hinder the adoption of thorium reactors. Current Status: While there have been significant advancements in thorium reactor research, no large-scale commercial thorium reactors are currently operating. Several countries, including India, China, and the United States, are actively pursuing research and development in this area. Overall: Thorium-based nuclear reactors have the potential to offer a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable energy source. However, significant technological and economic challenges remain before they can become a practical reality. Let me know if you would like to explore any of these points in more detail!

I think the idea is AWESOME, but the fact is I anticipate the house will not be 10,000 and it will be boycotted by ordinances. We live in an era in which 99 percent do not really care about the suffering of the 1 percent. It will stay that way until catastrophe happens and evens out the score of living standards. In this advertisement alone it's 😂 obvious. Elon DID NOT sell everything and move into a Cassita. It's a gig. Finished quarters such as this one will cost no less than 60,000 to 100,000 pending on many factures. Awesome would have been that they additionally Company finance because no one out here has 60,000 laying around and its not like these house sway in the air, the property has to be purchased aswell. Or make the house self-sufficient with Electricity, Water like RVs have.

I no know Trump get on board with this. I think it mainly a Musk idea. But. People, who skeptical, have to realize, THEY and most people gonna wanna impress with expensive home. They the ones need million dollar house, apartment. Someone like me, think this like beyond a great idea. But. I think it more expensive, the further you are away from Las Vegas, cuz they gotta ship it to you.

The engineering of the electric motors is inconsequential… because Tesla builds 4 wheel robots, not cars. If you can’t match the Artificial Intelligence that comes with Tesla’s 4 wheel robots… you can’t compete with them.

The main problem with wheel hub motors is “unsprung weight”. In order to keep the vehicle under control the weight of the wheel assembly needs to as light as possible. That includes wheels, brakes, outer part of the drive shaft and the assembly to hold all this. If you add a 20 kg motor to that wheel, it will not be able to keep the wheel on the ground at speed. All the time. Any bumps will create a momentum upwards strong enough to overcome the dampers and springs, and the wheel will shortly depart the road and then be forced back down. This will cause bad handling, it will cause excessive tyre wear, and it will cause energy loss, because of slippage, and excessive wear on the drivetrain because of uneven resistance because of the slippage. Modern EV’s have the engines directly coupled to the wheel through a simple gearbox without clutches directly through a drive shaft to the wheel. There is little to gained in transmission loss in avoiding a short drive shaft. More is to be had by designing better transmissions and more effective motors.

Wheelhub motors also need a reduction gear, a planetary gear can easily be included, but adds up to weight. It remains interessting though how this develops.
