Thanks Matthew, Can't wait for "D&D: The AI version". The players pick a theme. The AI offers several senarios. The group chooses one and a sets difficulty levels. The AI then creates the full game outline, the 3D environment, and acts as the dungeon master. Foes and players grow thier abilities as play advances. As a result, each game is unique. FYI: FSD v12.4.2 had issues and did not roll out to the fleet. V12.4.3 is rolling out to the full fleet. I have it. I have been transported over 125 miles by v12.4.3. Mostly on SC backroads and small town streets. They are NOT straight. Many are narrow and have funny branches and roadway obsticles. ALL OF THE TRIPS WERE HANDS FREE (JUST WATCH THE ROAD)! So far only 2 disengagements. One when the car failed to find its way out of a small parking lot and had to stop because FSD still isn't allowed to back up. The other occured when FSD started a left turn across traffic and an oncoming truck turned into the same roadway blocking our progress. I consider the latter to be a serious failure because there is a yield to oncoming traffic sign at the intersection and FSD failed to comply. The progress made by the FSD team compared to previous versions of FSD is a real feat of engineering magic. v12.4.3 is the first end-to-end AI release that feels as if FSD is getting close to driving autonomously in the real world. A world where roads are not laid out on a grid and vary widely in width and in roadway hazards.

Funny I was just running ollama with 2 simultaneous sessions (and that's not the latest version) and it worked quite fine with llama3 and phi but when I needed to hibernate my computer it crashed it. I hope the update fixes that. But as a whole, I'm very happy with ollama. I've used it for embedding in rag and it does quite well. Though it doesn't have grok. As for Apple and MSFT and OpenAI that smelled from miles of monopoly. So it makes sense they decided to step down.

@@jaysonp9426 Working on it = getting things set up. First I installed Skyrim SE then added all the mods required, I played the game a little to make sure it was running smooth. Then, I could not get WSL to work right in my Win11 machine so I down graded to win10 (that took a full day due to the fact that Win10 would not see my SSD because it's running PCIE 4 or 5, finally pulled the RST driver from ASUS website and got it going.. reminds me of the old days). I was then able to get WSL configured and the image loaded. I set it up to use Claude Haiku and was in the middle of getting the TTS going when we had a hurricane come through. I was without power for 5 days and just last night had full power restored. Bottom line, I did not get it running yet but used up all the allocated time, and more. Now I have to work on paying projects. I will devote the entire weekend to those projects so may be able to get back on it Monday or Tuesday. Where are you at in the process?

Apple ditching OpenAI is so predictable, Apple always wants things done in-house so they have full control over it, so even thought they might use outsider tech, it's probably not for long as they get their own tech in place to replace it. As for Nintendo, I'll give them 5-10 years at the most before they reverse that decision, it's easy for them to say they won't use A.I. but if rivals end up using it, they will end up with a big advantage over Nintendo and in this world, it's all about the competitive edge, A.I. is likely going to open up a lot of possibilities for the ones that take advantage of it, and I wish the ones that don't want to use it luck against the ones that do use A.I. because the ones that don't, will probably not stand a chance against the ones that do, especially as A.I. becomes more useful and capable. In any case, what we are seeing with A.I. and the resistance to it from many sectors is a bit like what we saw around 100 years ago with automation taking over jobs, imagine today's world without automation, the cost of everything would be far higher than it is, in fact, we wouldn't have enough resources and man power to produce all the goods for the population, pushing the price up a lot. In the case of A.I. and eventually A.I. and robotics, it's very likely going to reduce cost, improve productivity and in many ways, produce better work than we can do, I pity the fools that think they won't use it and think they can compete in the industry, because they probably won't stand a chance once A.I. really starts to get good, in other words, we all are going to use it, not because of want, but because of the changing world will force us to use it to keep up. The main difference from automation and A.I. is that with automation, it can take a lot of jobs away but it's expensive to set up and it's usually designed around a specific product or line or products, so it's not very flexible., A.I. and robotics will have the same flexibility that we have and more so, in other words, it could be a threat to almost every job there is and any new jobs we create, especially in a capitalist model where reducing running cost and consumers always wanting goods on the cheap, those two factors are very likely going to put massive squeeze on the labour market when the tech is at the level where it can take over, and then we could end up with an avalanche of job losses in every sector, which sounds like a bad thing, but it will force us to change the entire society because if people can't find work, things would fall apart quickly, so a new system will likely be needed, probably some kind of human basic income for all.

Making a competitive model on established tech is literally dictated by how much you can spend on training and data - doubt that impresses anyone who understands it.
