I just ordered an Eloquencer yesterday and really looking forward to it. It is great that you take the time to record these tutorials. It helped me decide on the purchase and I know I will be referencing the videos once I get it. Very thorough and clearly explained. Thank you.

Thank you for this compact remake of New 1.04 features, ... and you reacted to the former comments of the previous full coverage, now just perfectly presented instructions = 5Stars

I liked your full review on the Eloquencer, as well as this one. Are you planing to make one for the new features (FW-Udates)? Would be great! Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your comment, glad you liked the videos. Yes I will be doing some 'update videos'. I was about to start videos again recently but a few things (non-music related) popped up again causing a further delay... will get there in the end :) - Thanks

Nice tutorial. Is there a clock divider per track or it divides the clock for all 8 tracks ?
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
hi yes there is a divider per track
@crappie0507647 жыл бұрын
Thanks, that's nice to hear. What I like about the sequencer is that you have 8 gates and cv outputs to control. Looking forward to your other video's and I will order this very soon. I hope the waiting list is not to long :)
@juliankulczynski9687 жыл бұрын
Great to hear but where can i choose that divides for specific tracks?
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
Go in STEP MODE pressing FUNC+STEP MODE... here per each track (select track A, B, C, etc... buttons) you can change the step mode (as in FRWD, PEND, RND, etc..) and as you keep scrolling the step modes you will see the DIV/2 on screen and here you can change from a number of Divisions etc... If you want some quick reminder of all the functions please have a look at my PDF Cheat Sheet here from this other video of mine kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmLLmZl6gMlria8 (PDF CHEAT SHEET 1.04). I hope this helps

I have a "Run" output on my clock that gives a high for Play and low for Stop, however I don't see a Run or Start/Stop ability on the unit. Did you see this ability?
@SonicVoltage6 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry I didn't understand. You mean stopping the unit remotely? If you take the clock from your clock module, when you stop and restart the clock on your master-clock module it should also stop and start the Eloquencer (using the clock input on the eloquencer)

Hi - I want to know how to run the different tracks at different clock speeds? Any help would be appreciated and greta video! :)
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you go into Step Mode you can change the Step Mode for each track (e.g. Forward, Random). I think is the last option after Forward, backwards random, etc... you get DIV /2. Here you can change the clock division per each track.

Hi there, I'm very interested in the Eloquencer but there's a critical feature I'm unsure of: can I delay beats/steps/gates to build complex rhythms like the Varigate 8?
@SonicVoltage6 жыл бұрын
You can use Shift to shift each/any track or whole pattern by step/steps. See the Shift section from the index in this and the main Video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWGrmnd7dr9lipYm28s maybe this can work for you?
@chrisarkenberg17896 жыл бұрын
Thanks but I'm talking about a per-step function (and I'm a modular musician, not a tech so I probably don't speak the right language ;). For example, say I have a kick drum hitting on every beat of a measure - a standard 4 beat dance pattern. But I want the 3rd kick to hit just a little later, making it un-quantized. With the Varigate 8 this can be done by adjusting the Delay on that beat/step/kick. Is this possible with your Eloquencer?
@SonicVoltage6 жыл бұрын
I didn't install the very latest update, I had a beta of it... but I don't think per-step-delay has been implemented, hopefully I am not giving wrong information here

I might have missed it, but can the transpositions be sequenced in song mode as well? Can transposition be done with CV control?
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can use CV IN Assigned to CV ADD for whichever track (or select for all tracks), the voltage CV INPUT will be added to the existing CV value for the current Step. You can transpose using CV sources this way. About the first question. No I think that only works as a way to edit CV within each pattern and you can do it on the fly while a pattern (or pattern in a song) plays but I do not think you can record and sequence back those transposition changes

Thanks for the explanation! I've watched the vids and decided to order one.

Is this a firmware update from the firmware that was installed on the second batch? It says already firmware 1.04 when I remove the card but I'm under the impression that you can do more stuff than I can :-) I received mine at the beginning of this month. Are these bugfixes for version 1.04? Or is there only one version 1.04?
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
Hi, not sure if the second batch 1.04 and the downloadable 1.04 are the exact same thing. I have the first batch Eloquencer, and this video I made using a pre-release update (1.03 which then became 1.04). I have not downloaded the current 1.04 yet. But considering these features and fixes were from a pre-1.04 version I would think you should find all of this in your Second-Batch-1.04 version

thanks for the response. Will check thoroughly tonight.

hi, I just got mine and love it, but i save the pattern by pressing CTRL and LFO at once and press the encoder to save but when i switch my system back again i cannot reload the patterns i saved, it shows a blank Pattern, can you help please?
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
Hi, just to make sure we are talking about the same steps. When you press and hold Func+Project the SAVE/LOAD menu appears. Select the Bank/Slot you want to save to e.g. A1, of course make sure the cursor ">" is indicating SAVE and not Load... Press the encoder to Save. Confirm 'YES" overwriting if that''s the case. Saving the project will save all your patterns for that project. Then when switching the Eloquencer back ON.. Func+Project to call the SAVE/LOAD screen, make sure the cursor ">" is on LOAD, select the Bank/Slot e.g. A1... Press the encoder and the Project with all patterns should be loaded and ready for use. This is all I do, hopefully this helps and maybe you were not saving correctly, maybe you were not reloading the correct Bank/Slot? Not sure, sorry.

thanks for your quick reply ,i do it exactly as you have explained but somehow without any success

I wonder if there could be something wrong with the memory card.... (write protected?) but I guess your best option is to check with Winter Modular which probably you already did. I had a similar problem with one of these small card (not with the eloquencer) trying to save some files from the computer and it was the card. I hope you can get the issue sorted quickly, I am sure Winter Modular will try to help.

Hi! Is 1.03 the latest firmware? This video says 1.03 in the beginning but I found this: www.pintaram.com/u/sonicvoltagecom/1629113109304085912_5391330650
@SonicVoltage7 жыл бұрын
Latest Firmware is 1.04. I created the video before official release, I think between 1.03 and 1.04 there should be no difference in terms of New Features, just some more bug fixes
