Elrond has definitely become a favorite character of mine in the show. Robert Aramayo’s performance just keeps getting better and better over both seasons. He has gravitas and coupled with a warmth that’s very compelling to watch.

I agree with your summary, this was the one theme I didn't like on first listen because it felt too Hallmark like, but hearing McCreary's variations to it helped it grow on me.

Listening again and I just love this so much! I wonder, are you going to add the season 2 bits to this video or perhaps make a new one? (Also, and I'm so sorry to just ask; you don't have to if you don't want to, of course; but would you ever consider doing one of these with Celebrimbor/Eregion's theme? That music is just so beautiful!)

Hi there! Thank you for the kind words and support ❤️ 1) The season 2 suite will just be focused on the variations of his theme from that season. I have exceptions like the Nolwa Mahtar and Wandering Day suites planned, but that's mainly because I never did stuff with those themes in S1 until they gained prominence in S2. But once the show is over, I'll make bigger suites with every variation from every season, potentially huge hour long mixes lmao. 2) Absolutely there'll be a suite for Eregion's theme 🙏

Slight spoiler for season 2, but I saw in the new teaser that Elrond is going to jump off a waterfall at some point (although I don't quite know the context for that yet) and I'm super excited to see how they use this theme with that! Overall, I just really love his leitmotif (I think that's the right word); it's hopeful and optimistic while at the same time being DEEPLY sad. Perfect given his history and where he's at in his life!
