This was the way South Beach looked when I lived there in the `70`s, 80`s and 90`s. The first part was filmed on 5th St and Washington Ave above was the 5th Street Boxing Gym. Later they show Española Way and Washington Ave. then Ocean Drive and 7th Street.

Была передача какая-то в самом начале 90-х, типа какой-то рулетки что ли крутилось?.. Якобы случайно выбиралось как-то на экране, какой клип будет. Я каждый выпуск сидел со включенным в аудиовыход телевизора магнитофоном, ждал, вдруг покажут этот клип. Однажды все же записал и с ума потом сходил, заслушивал до дыр ))

One of my favorite Elton songs from the 80's. Notice how many different sets of glasses he wears throughout the video. That street @ 0:53 looks exactly like one from the movie Scarface when Pacino goes up to the apartment and almost gets sliced & diced in the shower.

Nice song excellent video - Sounds like in the story, i could be wrong, but i think in this storyline, the spanish kid sold out his girl and his friends to get the white girl, meaning to say he wanted to be different...but in the end of the song, realized the error of his ways and returned back to his roots...that's the impression I get
