Levon is and has always been my favorite EJ song. I love it for the symphonic strings that typically grace the song. I am gobsmacked how his piano virtuosity and the best damn performance on tamborine I have ever seen (and will ever see) took my breath away. Now I have two favorite EJ songs -- the two renditions of Levon!!

Even though this song is obviously not a Christmas song despite "Christmas Day" being mentioned in the lyrics, I like listening to "Levon" around Christmastime. This is one of my favorite performances, especially with that badass solo.

Listen to this and then listen to music of today. No comparison in any way. Recording artists of today can't even play their instruments that well, nor can they write songs with any real feeling in them. There may be a few who can, just sayin' they aren't the ones I hear or hear about.
