The close up was actually really interesting, I didn't realise that a lot of the keys you don't really press down, but only flicker for a moment. The gurdy is truly a great instrument, amazing video.

To this day, Evocation II remains my favorite album by any band of all time. I have it playing in my car ALLL the time and I just never get enough of the celtic vibe. It always makes me want to order a hurdy gurdy to learn it for myself

When I was a kid I was often brought along to the homestead museum where there was an old man that played hurdy gurdy, and I hated it when he started playing. Now, since discovering Eluveitie, I've come to love it! So thank you for your videos =)

Hi Michalina. The original title of this song is "Son ar Chistr" in Breton. This means "Song of the cider"(beverage). It's a traditional breton song, popularized by Alan Stivell in the 70ees. I'm a HyGy player as well. Nice to hear a new version.

Whoah, I never heard it in the actual song but this gurdy part is almost exactly the same as "wat zullen we drinken"! It's a Dutch song btw :P It means "what shall we drink".

If I remember right, the meldoy of the song 'Wat zullen we drinken' or 'Zeven dagen lang' (it exists in both Dutch and German) was based on an old Breton melody. I had to look up the name of the original melody as I couldn't recall that and found the name 'Son ar chistr', which looks similar to the title Michalina put in her video. As a Dutch person who grew up w/ Bots' version and Rapalje's version, I was VERY confused when I first heard Lvgvs in 2017. It still confuses me sometimes (especially Fabienne's vocal lines), but knowing more about the history of the melody also made me appreciate it in a totally different way! I love it
