Only Floor could take a salsa song that was a #1 hit for Rolf (the guy she was singing to on the sofa) and turn it into a Spanish version 2.0 Floor rock/metal style. She did this for Rolf and all her Spanish speaking fans especially in South America where they are nuts about her. This actually charted on one of the charts in South America. Her diction and pronunciation was pretty good from all the Spanish speaking reactors I have seen. It is not her native language but Floor as usual did put the work in to get this right. You validate that Floor does work her a$$ off despite her talent to make sure the song is perfect. Here the studio band helped out and they loved working with her on the show as she change each and every song to that Floor 2.0 version with her special spin. Great show that is truly missed, I came for Floor but loved the studio band and all the other singers and the overall production which was fantastic. Shout out to Denise Hof and her translated in English versions of the show which gave us all a great insight in each of the singers and their back ground as they interacted with each other. Great reaction as usual so glad you decided to do these reactions.

By far the most entertaining music television show I have ever seen. I stumbled across "Beste Zangers" while searching for everything I could find that has been done by Floor. I found Floor by first finding Nightwish. Since that time I have been overwhelmed by the talent of Nightwish but honestly, even more so with the beautiful vocal versatility of Floor. As for "Beste Zangers" I can only say I wish someone would produce a show just like using American artists as it is an amazing concept!!

That's the gimmick of this show. Each week one of the contestants sits with the host and "judges" whilst the rest are tasked with performing a cover of one of that contestants songs.

The others did prepare one of the main guest's favourite songs or songs of that artist self, and sing it for them. Or in their own particular style or more out of their comfort zone (like this is sorta both).

Elvann They get the list with songs they can choose from 5 months before and practise in the Netherlands before they meet and perform on the spanish island of Ibiza. Ofcourse duet partners have met before aswell. This is filmed/recorded in April but aired in August.

They had five hehearsals on Ibiza, mainly to get the band to know what they wanted. So, sometimes there is not much time. They were in Ibiza for 10 days in total, of which 4 days were recording, I think.

There is nothing that this goddess can't do and do it perfect. She sang in German, Dutch, Spanish and English during the show and every performance was incredible. This song was sung to Rolf Sanchez, the guy in the middle. His version is more of a Salsa version of the song but Floor sang it so beautifully. I listened to the original version after hearing this and she changed it pretty dramatically to make it more rock. And it 100% nailed it for me, the original is a kinda slower song about lost love and she adds so much emotion to it this way.

Hey guys! Little clarification on the pronunciation/diction part because I feel I haven't fully conveyed what I was trying to the way I wanted! I was mostly trying to refer to the clarity of her diction, and general pronunciation, which are kind of two things. Her pronunciation might not be 100% perfect (as in you can recognize she isn't native), but also in her sound you hear that she's very purposeful with the vowels and consonants that she sings, they are audible and clear. Even I as a basic level speaker, I can still make up words from her singing. When singing in a different language it's really easy to loose that clarity and hear imprecise vowels, imprecise consonants and everything can tend to become mushy. You recognize singers with good technique and good work ethics when they can pull off singing in foreign languages and still sound clear. While I can't fully judge of the pronunciation part", I could still tell that the diction was extremely intentional here. Also, as a side note, thanks for the feedbacks about her pronunciation from you lovely hispanophone people! It's super cool to read your impressions as I can't judge exactly the same way that you do, and I really love learning new things and refining my understanding of diction/pronunciation/languages, I'm just reaaally passionate about the topic!

I might be telling you something you already know, but in this dutch show they take turns singing for the artist in the center couch. In this case Rolf Sanchez who is the original preformer of this song. An amazing show and it is sad that it's over. I love rock and metal and other genres but this show I really enjoyed even if I didnt understand the lyrics. Seeing the reactions to the songs is proceless. Floor is so versatile, its almost unbelievable its her each and every time, such a great singer she is. And i love how she made this originally Reggaton song, into a 80's Spanish Rock song, it reminds me of a Spanish Hard Rock band from the 80's and 90's called "Heroes del Silencio" (too few remember them sadly, but it seems Floor remembered them, cause this REALLY has a HdS vibe to it) Her diction is perfect, you can hear every word she sings, be it loud or silent, she pronounces each word crystal clear. Yes she’s singing to Rolf who is grinning like the Cheshire Cat. It’s her take on his song. How lucky are they to have a personalised performance in such an intimate setting?!!! I’ve watched all of her performances now on Beste Zangers and it makes me giggle each time I see their faces as she sings. They are in awe! Totally mesmerised! Especially Henk and then there’s Samatha (the one who always has goosebumps and points it out) 😂😂 The more I watch Floor perform I just think there isn’t much that you can say when you watch her..... she leaves me speechless most of the time, even though I know what to expect. Thinking on it, sometimes I suppose you don’t need to say anything. She is there to just be enjoyed! She can soothe your soul with that voice of hers. It makes me wonder what’s going through the other artists heads when she’s finished her song... I wouldnt want to sing after her that’s for sure! She did really well in this show I think. She herself said it was a challenge to sing in such a small setting and actually prefers the arenas. You have to admire how she has tried to do something different each week and not just stick to what she knows. You are right with her pronunciation when she sings.... you do hear everything crystal clear. She is in control and the pace of her wording and owns every song she sings, regardless of the language. I'm not a spanish speaking person, I know a few things I picked up here and there, when I used to live in San Diego South California. But one thing I know for sure in Spanish is "Te amo Floor !!! Te amo mucho !!!"❤❤❤ She doesn't sing to him (Rolf Sanchez), she sings his song her way (the original is a successful Salsa rhythm song), to honer him. Every week one of the singers was taking a sit on the couch as a Honored guest and the other singers were singing in their own styles, either a song of his/hers or cover another song that has an emotional meaning for him/her !!

@@ElvannReacts If you want to hear Floor sing in Finnish, there's two songs at least, one is live video: Raskasta Joulua - Oi Jouluyö - Floor Jansen. I have to say that it's very hard to hear the Finnish words with Floor's dictation when she sings high, but when she sings lower it's pretty easy. But she has a distinct accent. The other song (not live video, it's a duo with Tony Kakko) "Oi Joulunajan Ihmiset." There could be more of course!

I totally agree with you... it doesn't matter in which language Floor sings, you can (almost) hear her pronounce every word and that makes it so much easier to understannd and follow the song lyrics. She's singing it phonetically. She doesn't know Spanish, but it's obvious she's got a gift for it. She said this was an experiment to see if she could possibly sing some songs to her latin NW fans. It was Rolf's song, so yeah. She was directing it toward him and he loved her interpretation of it.

I told a colleague at work (he comes from Nicaragua) about Floor Jansen and Nightwish, as we talked about our favourite music. He took his IPhone and searched for some examples. The first one he clicked was Que se siente - it was right at the time this one came out the weekend before - and his first reaction: "Oh! They're a spanish band?" "No. Finland. And she's dutch, and she actually doesn't speak spanish at all." His face was priceless :-)

Well, here you have another native spanish speaker, latin american spanish in this case. I can understand you perfectly well and you're right. It's obvious that Floor is a great professional, only for that we can admire her. I can imagine how seriously she took this. She said it in the show, this song was dedicated to Rolf Sanchez, the author, but also to the latin american fans of her and Nightwish, so she tried to do it the best she could. Of course she has an accent, but that's inevitable. After listening to her speaking and singing in dutch you can imagine that it must be very difficult to avoid pronnouncicng the "R" rolling it and making it sound so hard. Except for some words that I can't understand so good she sings it very good and the parts where there is that funny pronnunciation... it's just CUTE !!

Though it is an immensely difficult race, this was my absolute favorite of hers with the show. It was so completely different from anything I'd seen from her, even her clothing, and I listened to the original to get a comparison for the changes they made. Plus Rolf was completely blown away, and goes nuts at every subsequent performance of hers. She had been winning over everyone, one by one.

The other songs from this Rolf episode of Beste Zangers that I loved were Emma Heesters' version of El Universo and also Henk's performance of Noelia, which will destroy you just like it did Rolf. Floor admitted this was one of her first times ever singing publicly in Spanish, but she wanted to do it for her Nightwish fans in Latin and South America and of course also to honor Rolf who sings in Dutch, English, and Spanish on various episodes of the show.

Je trouve que le travail qui a été fait sur cette reprise est incroyable du côté de Floor et de l'équipe. Je ne sais pas si tu as écouté l'originale mais lorsque qu on écoute les deux versions, on entend les similitudes que ce soit dans l'instrumental et dans la partie vocal (désolé si je n'utilise pas les bons termes), mais en même temps on peut remarquer que Floor c'est totalement approprié la chanson ce qui la rend différente de l'original et c'est impressionnant je trouve. En plus elle chante dans une langue avec laquelle elle n'est pas familière, et s'en sort très bien ! (ce que je dis peut paraître flou désolé, mais je ne vois pas trop comment l'expliquer autrement 😂) Très bonne vidéo ! 👍

Jose Luis Rodriguez's "que se siente" is a complete different song. This is Rolf Sanchez's and is in salsa style originally. And, as a spanish speaker, i must say that Floor's pronunciation is almost perfect, taking in consideration her native language, that is far far away form spanish. Some words are understandable "per se", but you are able to comprehend the complete sentence anyway. Great reaction by the way!!!

What I liked on this song is the fact that the band helped to transform from Salsa to rock-ish sound, also Floor's pronunciation (am native Spanish speaker)... Rolf Sanchez was excited from the beginning of the song(and maybe the beginning of the season)... Great video girl, I liked your comments and reaction! The format of the song gives each of the singers a week to practice a song with the band based on the featured singer that week. Each of the songs has to be split up over that week for the band to get practice with everyone, and all of Floors songs are usually heavily modified for a more rock track. Even if they weren't the modified, they still had to perfect some pretty hard songs to play like when she did the Phantom. I give big ups to this band and any band that has to go through that much work in such a short time. :)

Qué Se Siente is originally a Reggaeton (salsa) song by Rolf Sanchez.. he wrote it and sings it .. it's the guy on the couch .. floor sings his song for him. it is about the time that his girlfriend leaves him .. he also tells that his producer says he should write a letter to his ex .. not to send to her but to bring to him .. there is this song from emerged.

Guy is Rolf Sanchez and he said that this was his break out hit, one that truly launched his career and made him big star. At the start of the show he didn't believe that any of his songs can be rocked-up and still sound good. He admitted after her performance that she blew his mind. He doesn't know that rocking-up this kind of songs is something that rock and metal bends in not so western Europe do quite often just for the fun of it.
