I've been looking forward to this video, as I really wanted to see the painting techniques you used on this set. The color scheme works very well, but I would have been tempted to dry brush a little white or silver on the edges of the feathers.

Amazing work, and as for color, the only thing I'd change is using gold in place of silver to keep a more warm tone since you already have copper in there.

My personal favorite would be a dark to medium brown base, some silvery ornaments on it and dark blue to black Feathers with iridescence in green and purple on them. But I also like your color scheme even though I would propably have chosen more of a green tinted silver instead of the metallic green since I prefer more subtle and metal like colors.

Thank you for posting this, the colour scheme is absolutely gorgeous…. I am just practising and refining my tooling technique before I make a start on the patterns for this set 👍😊. A true craftsman at work. I can only hope my attempt is only a quarter as good, then I would be a happy man…. A quick question though, could you use saddler’s rivets and burrs rather than rapid rivets in the construction of this set?

Of course, you could stitch the whole set if you wanted too. There are many ways to go about these builds.

Those are Molotow Liquid Chrome Markers (there are 3 different tips) and there is also a large refill which is used for the brushing.

What is the name of the paint being used?

Jacquard Lumiere metallic paints are used here, as well as some Createx 4650 Blood Red. I think the black is Neopaque by Jacquard... Would be super cool to get a closeup of the materials used somewhere in the video or listed in the comments. :)
