You literally don’t need to change a thing. Definitely my favorite miniature artist to watch. :) if I had any suggestions at all, I would love to see some models with some brighter colors. Just to better understand how to highlight and emphasize when everything is already so bright. But that’s just me, a miniature novice. just keep doing your thing!

What I like most about this is that there is no Airbrushing. It's nice to see a really professional model painted to a high quality without a £150+ pricetag on it to paint it to the best standard. Awesome stuff! Ave Dominus Nox!

Amen to this, it's so frustrating to see 90% of youtubers painting models with air brushes.

@@Dustbinlid1 Oh yeah, airbrushing is cheating , right? lets do a model per year
@earlgrey21305 жыл бұрын
@@Dustbinlid1 Honestly.. the tools don't make the artist. Creativity, experience and a lot of practice does. There is nothing wrong with using airbrushing in my eyes. It's not like any beginner can buy an airbrush and end up with great looking models.
@jakoballan27685 жыл бұрын
@@CamilleDeveveraux I think the point was more if you're a new or new-ish (or poor) painter it can be frustrating to crack open a tutorial and not have the tool you clearly need. I personally play kill team so airbrushing really isn't necessary because I'm not trying to paint 200 Tyranids, just 15. So tutorials like these where all the tools I need are readily available or cheap are always nice.

That base is fucking class, the whole frozen marine idea really grounds the model and builds a scenario for it, I mean i get people who just build and paint according to codex references, its still rewarding and the designs are timeless for a reason, but when people really get inventive with this hobby is where the hobby as a whole shines. haven't touched war-hammer minis since around '04, school and college kinda took point for a decade or so y'know, totally forgot how creative you could get with this, time to break into my savings me thinks

When working with resins you can spray a little bit of mold release to lower the surface tension of the resin. That way the bubbles will/should pop. And! Great painting tutorials! Thank you!
@Al_Does_Stuff3 ай бұрын
Unless there's a structural reason to not have any at all (not a resin expert), there's really no need to be 100% bubble free as long as their not huge. Natural ice will have bubbles in it especially if it froze over an object like a space marine imo.

This is probably the sickest model I've ever seen painted! Jesus christ, that base is just a stroke of genius. How did you get the idea to do this??
@Mezgike5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Well I started making a graveyard type base for him but I wasn’t feeling it. So I thought “what is a simple but striking base idea?”. I thought that a snowy base might be a good contrast to the dark armour, then I just thought about incorporating a battlefield scenario in a cold environment. I suppose when you fight in the snow, enemies fall and become frozen in ice. Then I realised that this is a cool idea, and it seemed a pretty straight forward process; hollow out a base, round it and paint it black so it looks endless, chop a marine in half with his hand poking out, paint him, full with resin and make it look cold. Easy :)
