The Colonel really was an illegal immigrant who left the Netherlands under a cloud. One story doing the rounds claims he murdered someone in his home country. Do I believe it? Well, with such a shady character it's hard not too. I think it was true he did have a gambling problem and owed money to the casino owners. I wish they hadn't listened to his slick talk. "Just take him out to the Nevada Desert and deal with him" I couldn't help thinking.

You know... When Lisa Marie died there were a few articles online floating around saying drug overdose. She died from a bowel obstruction which resulted in an infection that she got after a weight loss procedure. If she only knew the symptoms and dangers of bowel obstruction this could have possibly been prevented. I don't know all of the details. My wife had a bowel obstruction and the surgeon did exploratory surgery to find it. They couldn't see it on a CT scan. The most highly suspect symptoms are not being able to make a bowel movement and vomiting repeatedly. Not being able to hold food down is another.

Don’t get me wrong Brendan Fraser ABSOLUTELY had an Oscar winning performance but the Oscars aren’t given to performances alone. It definitely seems there’s a bit of sentimentality and over career weight tied into it. For instance Leo’s Oscar win was great but it definitely wasn’t his best performance. But he was due one because of his career. Brendan had probably the biggest Hollywood comeback of the decade so his Oscar win definitely cemented that. But Austin had the best performance I would say.

In real life, by thus time as portrayed in the movie Elvis had a lot connections due to his fame. It’s too bad he didn’t realize he could have used that to get some of the best lawyers in Tennessee to file a lawsuit against Parker. Sure Parker would try to drag Elvis down with him and threaten him with all the money he owed him like it was portrayed in the movie. But I’m going to say, as the case unfolded, eventually Elvis would have won. It might have taken some time and be really dirty in public but Elvis would have been freed of Parker’s control to make so much more money.

The U.S. was too wrapped up in Fraser's comeback narrative, crying in public and being a sexual assault victim. They also have an agenda to not give it to anyone in their first lead role. Austin won Hollywood Foreign Press Golden Globe British Academy of Film and Television Arts BAFTA Irish Film and Television Academy IFTA Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts AACTA International Australian AACTA (Domestic) Catalonia Spain Sant Jordi South African Online Film Critics International Press Academy Satellite Portugal CinEuphoria Sunset Circle Starring Film Awards Minnesota Film Critics People's Choice And 13 Breakthrough Performance Awards (11 film critics and 2 film festivals)

Up till Austin performance the only one I thought that did a great job was Kurt throughout the years. But Austin did an amazing job plus Aystin did his own singing, dancing, playing instruments and full on concert performances. Kurt did not do the singing in his movie that was a guy named Rosney Mc Dowel. I had no expectations fir the film but left the theater blown away.

If only he'd really done this. Elvis did have an on stage rant about his favourite Maitre'd being fired because Elvis went to his house to meet his sick wife. But Elvis would never have gone against the fake colonel like this, seems he never knew about Tom's secret. This didnt happen but we wish that it had. Elvis would've have had a new manager and legal team in a matter of hours had he had the balls to fire parker and stick to it.

There comes a time in life you start seeing how evil man's heart is. We have our "hour in the flower" looking at people and life through Rose colored glasses. Read were Elvis started looking at people and all he could see was $. Jesus truly is the only one who Wants us for our Heart only. 🎶what a FRIEND We Have un JESUS 🎶

Not exactly. Elvis and the Col. Got into it after a show in Vegas because the Hilton let go one of a long time employee. Elvis made a comment about it during the show and the Col. Didn't want Elvis to say anything.

It happened behind stage after his last show there in September 1973. Colonel got mad about something else was said on stage and tore into him and then Elvis retaliated by firing him. But a week or so later he took him back.

Kind of. What happened was that Elvis took a moment out of one of his performances to ask the hotel manager to rehire a chef who was also Elvis’ friend. The manager basically said how he treated his employees was none of Elvis’ business and told the Colonel to put Elvis in his place. The Colonel talked with Elvis about it backstage after the show. Tensions between Elvis and the Colonel had been brewing for a while but this was the spark that set off the proverbial powder keg. Elvis didn’t have a microphone with him during their argument but apparently last minute stragglers from the concert said Elvis yelled so loud he could be heard from the back of the auditorium even though he was backstage.
