Thanks Spa Guy, for sharing this with us. I appreciate you introducing Mr. Ted Young. He has the most amazing collectables of Elvis I have ever seen before all together in one place. Every piece is so organized and has a place of it's own. What a wonderful way to display his Elvis collectables. I'm sure that each piece had a special place in Mr. Ted ' s heart. I have a few things of Elvis I display in my livingroom. I also have some old 45's and 78's I collected when I was a teenager. I look forward to the next part of the story.

Had me laughing..when you said "That's a little bit...", and he said "Yeaah!"..hahahaha He has some Awesome memorabilia! I would like to have seen the inside of the record player. I had no idea they made those. I've been watching a lot of Elvis videos on KZbin, and then read the comments. Someone ALWAYS has to go under them, and say "He's not the King of R&R!!". What bothers me the most..is when they start saying bad, or degrading things. It's like my Mama always said "If you can't say anything nice...just don't say anything at all.". Thanks for sharing, Spa Guy! God bless you & your family 💙

Wow Billy. Great vdeo. My mom had the 1956 charm bracelet. She passed away 3 years ago. She told me when I was a little girl I could have it when she is gone. It's in a closet at dad's house. He said we all have to wait till he's gone to go through her and his stuff. So one day maybe I can find it before one of my sisters do. But if not thats ok with me. God bless you and your family.

On the surface, a collection like this appears to be a gold mine. But the funny thing about collectors (and I count myself as one) is that they rarely want to buy complete collections from other collectors. The real fun of collecting is the thrill of the hunt, stretched out over many years or decades. Very few collectors want to buy a huge collection from another, as it simply isn't fun that way. Some will want parts of a collection, for sure, but rarely do they want the whole collection. Also, collectors who try to sell off their whole collections often have an inflated idea of what they are worth. They often build a "sentimental value" into their asking price, which inflates the cost beyond what the collection is truly worth in the marketplace. I've seen it time-and-time-again with collectors who try to sell their collections. Having said that, Ted's collection does appear to remarkably well organized and displayed, which I find admirable. He clearly collects quality items, instead of just collecting for the sake of quantity. That will always make a collection much more valuable and interesting. It's easy to fill rooms full of "stuff." It's hard to locate and obtain high quality items.
@seenoevilhearnoevil90675 жыл бұрын
@@mjanovec Yeah you are right about it. But the thing is I know people are going to over price thing because they had the item for so long or they paid way over price or it is rare. Maybe they want to give it to the next generation of family. But that being said I understand it is really hard to part with something like that.

I remember watching a movie on the late late show on TBS back in the 1990s based on the banned rock and roll and Jazz music in Russia in the 1950s. And swing dancing was also band in the UK. In the movie they showed how they were able to copy records onto old X-rays, also known as Bone Records. And they had to sneak them into the country. And if they got caught they would go to jail. In the movie there was these group of Elvis styled guys (with the pomp hairstyle and wearing 1950s suits). This guys road bcycles while handing out these rock and roll and Jazz Bone records around Russia. I do not remember the name of the film. And I tried searching for the movie with some of what I remember from the film online and could not find any thing. I did read a couple of very short articles about the Bone records. Its sad this is not covered more since it is apart of history. I learned the reason why it is so hard to get a copy of these Bone records is due to how fragile the X-rays were. And the music was so hard to get the "record" was played over and over, and it became useless after being played so many times. And they ended up in the trash. Here is an article I found further explaining about Bone records: www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/soviet-hipsters-bootlegged-banned-music-bone-records-180957505/
