I was stationed in Italy, but traveled extensively into Germany...such a beautiful place!...when I was there in the late 80s, they truly embraced Americans (the older Generation)....dont know what the out look is these days?....Great VLOG!

it is sad when you see how time flies by, when elvis was in German, he was only 23 years old and now in 2018 he has been dead for almost 41 years. so weird he is dead almost as long as he lived. His life was far too short. real sad.

wow thanks Billy, I just noticed I have that picturegoer magazine that Elvis is reading sitting next to Vernon, its from October 1956 and featured a special series on Elvis, so he must have been reading that article. its a British magazine though and from 1956 so perhaps a fan gave it to him and he was curious to see how he was viewed a couple of years before in England.

Hi Billy. I stayed in Room 10 about 18 years ago for 3 days and the hotel itself had changed little. The room you believed to be Vernons room, to me it was just a living room and that big ornamental vase was still in the same place. As well as this there was also a dining room again different to what I saw in your previous video. I have a lot of photos from my visit which I’ll dig out to reminisce. Glad you got to stay in Room 10 :) Great work as usual. All the best!!!

Spa Guy however I would like to interject before the whole German American community gets on my comments and start to say I am being judgemental about there food..Elvis Didn't like Fish..(even tho his restaurant on Beale st.serves fish and states it as his favorite food)..for reasons unknown..idk..maybe he ate a lot of it as a kid a grew tired of it..but point is Elvis might of ate weird stuff in massive amounts..but he was still picky about what he ate..and fish was it...

The only two times I have record of him eating out in Germany was one with Priscilla and the other was a business meeting... So he was right the never ate out as a rule.. I would agree with his statement..

Sorry Ant the guitar is a 1957 J-200 with the image from the second Movie called Loving You.and the magazine is a UK release from 1957 as well.. That is a real picture.. I do hate fake picture as they muddy the water..

A little under 2 yrs after Gladys passed away Vernon married Dee Stanley (if watching the amazing movie Elvis you'll see her depicted sitting alongside Vernon during a Vegas show) and it was she that lived with Vernon here in Germany with Elvis.
