Hello Ashley, first time viewing your channel and I’m impressed. The one with Kennedy was great. I’ve always admired and said he was my favorite president. I’ve studied all the events of that day and it’s spot on. Now Elvis is someone you’ll really appreciate. I saw him twice in San Bernardino in 74’ and 75’. I was very young but remember both times. As you continue your research an knowledge of him, you’ll realize if you already haven’t just how great a person he was. Thank you for all you do. Ive subscribed and 👍.

To be honest, every scene of this movies for us the fans are real gems 😍. The accuracy has been amazing. There are so many I like but if I have to choose just some, the scene at Graceland with "I'm coming home", the Vegas Rehearsal and I liked a lot the performance of Little Richard.

I bought almost two truckloads of props from the Elvis movie, Ashley. Included was the chandelier you mentioned in the 1957 dining room and a lot of other pieces too. I also got to see the Witco jungle room furniture recreations. They were INCREDIBLY alike to the real thing. As your video correctly points out, their attention to detail is amazing.

What! That's so cool! What other items did you get?

@@ashleysadventures Hi Ashley, amongst other items I got the curtains from Graceland, the Elvis 68 Comeback Special model, the Sputnik lamp from Graceland and a lot of pieces from the 68 Comeback Special. There was over 500 items in total. Their attention to detail was insane. Even the smallest items (writing pens etc) were either original vintage pieces or incredibly accurate reproductions. You’ll see an APPLAUSE sign in the 68 Comeback Special scenes. I’ve got that also. To give you an idea of how period correct they were, the small screws at the back of the Applause sign are all flat head screws, not Phillips heads. The set and prop builders were instructed by Catherine Martin’s team that literally every element that could possibly be seen had to be period correct. Right down to the type of screws used on signs appearing in the film. I’m based on the Gold Coast, Australia where the movie was shot. I know about this period correct insistence as a number of friends worked in the props department and told me about it. Warner Bros sent all the hero pieces from the movie to the States once filming finished but there was still enough not sent back to fill one of your department stores in floor space. Getting inside the huge warehouse where Warners were auctioning the set and prop items was like an Aladdin’s cave. So much amazing stuff! 😍🙌

Thank you very much for another awesome video, Ashley. Bravo for your always meticulous and informative work.👍💖 I'm really amazed by the attention Baz has given to the smallest details, even if they only appear for a fraction of a second on the screen. My favorite scene is the one when "Elvis Austin" sings "Trouble" on stage. His gaze is chilling and you can feel an incredible tension in the room. At that moment, I thought that this young actor was really capable of embodying the essence of Elvis as he could express passion under an apparent shyness.💖

Bravo, Ashley! Man, it is obscene the detail Team Baz went to to recreate these little things in the movie. I hope this movie gets recognized with some awards next year, especially A.B's performance, but so many other things deserve to be noticed. I appreciate your pointing out things I hadn't paid attention to. That just makes watching the movie more fun. My favorite scene is a toss up between the If I Can Dream section before he sings the song while Parker and the NBC big wigs think they're going to do a Christmas special (Hanks at his comedic finest as Parker) and Binder and Elvis know that's not happening. Then Elvis sings If I Can Dream. I always lose it. I have always loved that song and I'm grateful Elvis recorded it. Wish he'd done it at his live shows. The other favorite scene is the Vegas rehearsals (Ooooh, love me some Ronnie Tutt and glad to see E's band get mentioned!) leading up to Elvis coming out on stage singing That's All Right and the montage of Arthur Crudup, 50s Elvis and 70s Elvis doing their versions. Brilliantly done! Thanks for another great video!!

Ashley, this video is a keeper! My favorite scene was the Vegas rehearsal because it shows Elvis' musical instincts and the fact that he arranged and produced many of his stage performances. Then when he hit the stage it showed the 3 split screens representing all his past musical influences finally coming together. 👑 2) Russwood Park concert showed his rebelliousness. 😡 3) If I Can Dream scene. Incredible!👏 4) Unchained Melody, especially when Austin's face morphs into Elvis' face❣

Wow Ashley, awesome attention to detail and comparisons; this was worth the wait. Hope the jungle room scenes get released one day; never knew they existed and the fact that Baz perhaps got to see Elvis’s actually bedroom/bathroom…. Is that what you hinted at? Favorite scene: too many to choose but I believe the last scene with Priscilla & Elvis on the airport tarmac always gets my emotions. Fictional, although I heard Priscilla did try to get to him to discreetly goto the San Diego rehab center in real life. But the dramatic effect was perfect.

Wow, Ashley, so thrilling, insane attention to detail in the movie. I love that, as it shows how seriously Baz Luhrmann takes Elvis, and so much respect. Loved your old original fotos, wow! The Trouble scene in the movie is explosive, and the song a rocker. Elvis is so timeless. I especially loved the scene in the Club Handy where Elvis/Austin seemed so happy, just being himself, among music loving folks. Also where he says 'sing' (if you can't say it). That's what Elvis often did, didn't he❤️. And everything culminating at the end with the real Elvis, a beautiful, loving and respectful bow to him and his legacy. I was so shocked when I saw it for the first time (5 times now and anticipating the DVD😁). Thank you Ashley, I love your work

Favourite scene or scenes in movie as it is impossible to pick one I have to pick three. 1. Russwood park "Trouble" not exactly accurate but it combined a lot of what happened over the few months into one scene that was epic. 2. 68' Comeback "if I can dream" again not entirely historically accurate but presented that song and its meaning in the time of chaos in the US so well I have heard so many people and several young teens talking about his "message song" definitely the film conveyed its meaning perfectly. 3. "Unchained Melody" 77' omg that was heart wrenching and yet inspiring how Elvis dug deep to give such a performance at his most difficult time in his life. I watched many people including me shed a tear over that scene. These are 3 scenes I loved but there are many more. There is one scene I did not like but that is not the question here.

I liked the scene at the Hollywood sign...but my favorite was the performance of Unchained Melody as the ending. That moment when he looks at the camera and smiles...he’s like a kid back in Tupelo. It also makes the point that when he was in front of an audience...he was probably at his happiest.

There is a youtuber named Elvisistheman he stated that HE had seen Elvis' bedroom. Then he describes a fuzzy round bed, which is Lisa Marie's bed. I feel that if Elvis were here that it would be off limits as well. You didn't go unless you were invite. I think that you are such a wonderful video taking person (sorry didn't know the right name). I can't pick one. I don't think that's possible- haha! But the one Graceland scene in the movie did stick out to me. That scene took place in the master bath when Elvis (Austin Butler) and Priscilla (Olivia De Jong) are brushing their teeth while Elvis is telling Priscilla his plans to fire his manager. I've watched the movie "Elvis" so many times on Netflix I lost count, lolol. I really love that movie . I think my favorite scene would be a tie between the scene when he does his first performance in the pink suit and the scene with the '68 Comeback Special. 🖤

I LOVE this video Ashley! I love how you compared the side by side comparisons of the real rooms, clothing, etc...The attention to detail that Baz had is amazing. The movie indeed moved fast, this is one movie that needs to be watched over and over and you will find something new each time. I don't have a favorite scene of the movie yet, because I need to watch it more. lol Watching the movie was hard as I was trying to take it all in, but yet just enjoy the experience. It moved fast! I wish they would have made this movie like a "mini series" and went slower. So I will be watching it over and over so I can pause it to check it out more. I was really blow away by the movie because of the attention to details, but also because of Austin Butler. Wow, he was amazing and I wasn't sure if I was going to like him playing Elvis. But he sucked you in and you really believed for a hot minute that he was Elvis. It was so wild! Thanks for this video Ashley, I loved how you pointed out all those details that get missed, little important details that you don't even realize are important. Amazing!

I really loved the beginning where they go from him as a child in the tent revival and back to him getting ready to go onstage the first time. The build up had my heart racing!😅 I really wish they would have included more of when Elvis met Scotty and bill and recorded “that’s alright mama” I also loved the 68 comeback special scenes!

You have a great eye Ashley. I notice something new each time I watch the movie. In the first trailer I noticed the sold sign when Elvis pulls into Graceland. Having lived in Memphis for about 30 years I knew that info to be correct. Unbelievable detail for a two second appearance

So Baz actually got to go upstairs?! I think Elvis wouldn't mind if his fans went up there now because he's not there. Even if they only took 5 people at a time up there and said no photos or video I would be ok with that. I think if he knew how much I love him, he wouldn't mind if I went up there ❤️

The rehearsal at the International is my favorite scene. I enjoy several short scenes/looks from Austin Butler: when he says "I shot my mother and smoke marajuana", before he kisses Priscilla in Germany and the look he gives the fan as she walks into the motel on the road. I have seen the movie 20 times in theater and have it on Prime Video😁

I wonder if the pics you just showed of Lisa Marie in living room was also given to close friends ? I’m asking because at Memories theatre in pigeon forge Tn . ( no longer there) when Charlie worked there was the same photo collection as seen in your video also they had the 68 Special leather suit that Elvis wore in the tv special. Hmmmm

Yes! That photo I found was from an auction but I lost the link or I would've added it to the sources in the description. I believe the listing said that particular one was given to someone. Maybe they gave several away as gifts. Interesting you saw one in person!

I.m loving your channel. back in the 70s early 80s, I had a good friend working at Graceland name Robert Duffler 111 often spoke on the phone from Graceland. he used to give me all the info I needed. all the way to Memphis from Melbourne Australia. tribute team.he also had a group of friends who at the time were part of an Elvis tribute show. I have been an Elvis lover and collector since before he passed away. I will always remember the very minute the news told us Elvis had died. it was terrible I went into disbelief and worked on trying to put it down to lies. I never heard the news I had a co-worker tell me he died. that day I went into complete shock couldn't work and had to go home as to being sick. I have a red original Tour Jacket I owned a ring he gifted/ to a lady performer who went by the name Ruby Red. I had to sell the ring about 6 years ago so to buy my daughter a car. then I have all the autographs and signed pictures. I also have a brown shirt he wore. and one I sold only about 7 years ago was pink and blue/purple and had EP pressed into the collar. it was a blue/purple colour outside with pin holes all over the shirt and the inside silk was pink the shirt would look great with all the pink coming through the shirt. I wish I never sold it. it smelled like brill cream, of course, I wore it. I also had a red shirt he wore in the movie Stay Away Joe. I also have a set of worn number plates saying Elvis 1 OHIO that was owned and used on the car of one of Elvis's movie producers. in which I will be selling up the track. I could go on and on as I have around 100 pieces of Elvis-related and signed and worn items and authentic Autographs by Elvis and all his family and a complete set of signatures from all his band and also his other band members back up singers. at 1 stage Joe Esposito I met personally when he came to Australia to headline Elvis tribute shows in aid of raising funds for his wife/s hospital costs she had Cancer. America does not have the system Australians have here costs here are all covered. and the sweets were there as well. only 1 of the original members. Thank you for your videos, I love them Graeme Zerna Melbourne Australia

Ashley you have done it again great video ! But their are so many special scenes ! The one that touched my heart was the one of Elvis crying in his Mother's closet....can almost believe that this could have happened that way . The bedroom scene ( down to Elvis brushing his teeth) made you feel like you were really watching Elvis in his private world away from all the craziness !Graceland was his sanctuary a place to recharge and reconnect to his Mother ! ! His place were he could be himself ! ! ! The movie was just so great and thank for not taking the movie apart and understanding it's a movie not a documentary ! ! ! Baz did such a beautiful job and Austin should get an Oscar ....there should be many oscars coming out of this movie ! ! ! Thank you ! ! !

It’s interesting how accurate they were with the visual details of the set & clothing etc but so far off the accurate events of Elvis’ life? So much was inaccurate & fabricated & completely not true? I don’t care about so called artistic license? The inaccurate portrayal of Gladys, Vernon etc Yes the movie was visually amazing 🤩 & I think Austin Butler 🤩❤️ should receive an Oscar for his role, but why oh why didn’t Baz make an accurate movie?? He left out a most important thing… Elvis’ generosity.
