Its a amazing how absolutely inaccurate these reports are..."concerts all over the world" If you please.., the other guy (pete Murray) said he rarely gave public appearances (Elvis gave 100's every year) "& might have been a cocaine sniffer"...virtually every detail wrong

You have to remember that in 1977, there was no such thing as entertainment news. I'd sooner have plummy newsreaders caught off guard by the death of a singer and the reaction to it then, than news bulletins bombarded with the product-placement crap we get now.

@Wigster789 Leonard Parkin was the Newscaster, & the other guy was Pete Murray a radio disc jockey from the 60s & early 70s. both chattin a whole lotta rubbish lol

Amazingly inaccurate and smug. Presley did not tour all over the world. He took painkillers & sleeping pills and they cost him his life. A genuinely kind man. And over 35 years past his death - his legacy is that he was one fantastic singer, he COULD read music, he could play the guitar and he knew every word to every song he sang - and what you hear is his arrangement of those songs. He would be shocked to know to know people still listened to his music.. He remains an American treasure.
