Although I was only ten, I remember the day like it was yesterday. My father drove the family hundreds of miles to Graceland, where we stood outside the gates along with hundreds of others, as you see in the video. I was raised on Elvis' music thanks to my aunt... thank you aunt Lola.

Oh how I wish Elvis would have started breathing again. I think Elvis died earlier that morning while Ginger was asleep. It's sad that Elvis passed away alone because he was so loved by millions. Elvis was a great person, and he will always be the King of rock and roll no matter what. There will never be anyone like Elvis.

I was 12 years old when Elvis died. Him and his father Vernon worked for my grandfather WD Harrison. Elvis's first job at 15 years old. The day of his funeral, my grandfather said not a word. We watched it on the old vintage boob tube TV box that displayed on the floor.

It's hard for me to understand why give heart massage, oxygen, etc. if rigor mortis had already set in? It must've been such a devastating and desperate situation. Hard to let go, I guess. Why didn't Ginger notice Elvis hadn't come back to bed until 6 hrs later? Was she on sleeping pills too? It takes a few hours for rigor mortis to set in; so he must've passed away very soon after going into the bathroom. How can she not hear him fall? I know the bedroom was soundproof but was the bathroom soundproof too? How very sad that with all those people around him all the time. Elvis died alone.. no one to hold his hand, no one to help. Just tragic.
