Because of the greatness that was Elvis. Media had to try to tear him down. Not much has changed.

I just seen that Elvis came upon an elderly black gentleman and his wife on the side of the road ,broke down with wood on the back. He was in his limo and got out to help the gentleman, push it off the road.so elvis took him to the dealership and bought him a new truck.the guy didn't know who he was until the dealership said his name he was so nervous he was shaking.and elvis gave him 500.00 dollars too.

There was a little girl in the front row of one of his concerts in a wheelchair. He bent down and talked to her and took a ring off his finger and put it in her little hands. His security saw this and approached her mother and told her watch your little girl, that's a $30,000.00 ring he just gave her. These types of things were done continuously by him. Vicki

This was very interesting thank you for showing this. Really though he couldn't have a normal life and it's heartbreaking to me. I can't imagine how isolated he must of been, not to just go for a walk or to the park on a picnic. But he never forgot his humble beginings

Elvis bought, if I had to count - and a lot of this stuff he never wanted people to know - about 30+ houses for people. And some were just regular, as that's all the people wanted, and others were kick ass and in Beverly Hills, etc. Even if you strip away his vocal prowess, which is amazing with the number of genres he could do, he was also just a really, really cool guy and both relatable to and relatable to the average person. As the looks, voice, sense of humor, personality, and ability to rock out on the guitar, or play the piano and sing some gospel song through the rafters....I don't know that we've seen anyone else with that type of total package since? He also remained amazingly humble while I've always wish he and Sam Bell could have hooked up again just to kick back and shoot the breeze about growing up with each other. As Mr. Bell was another wonderful man, so I tend to think that part of Mississippi raised their kids right.

Oh, man. You guys 💖🙏💙 It's like your naturals at this 😎❄ Thank you so much for doing this! You guys 🎶🎸🎶 😉 So a little info: The old guy that Elvis gave his KR200 Messerschmitt is/ was Bernard Lansky, owner of Lansky Bros. Clothier in Memphis, TN. Elvis was loyal to Bernard Lansky, having his clothes personally made/ tailored by him from the start of his career to the end. While Elvis did have a different guy (or two) who designed his 1968 Comeback Special outfits and later on his jumpsuits, and also some of the shirts you see Elvis wearing during the 1970 Las Vegas rehearsals, Elvis still used Lansky Bros. Clothiers as his personal preference to shop for clothing in Memphis and to get tailoring done. So while no one knows where or from whom or even specifically when Elvis got the Messerschmitt, there is a photograph of Elvis with the car in August 1956. The other three photos of Elvis with the car (one of which is at a Memphis gas station) were taken in 1957. So we can assume that Elvis had the car for at least a year before he bartered the car in exchange for a two and a half hour shopping spree in Mr. Lansky's clothing shop (which was located in the lobby of the swankiest hotel in Memphis at the time- Peabody Hotel). Elvis had known Mr. Lansky since before he got famous. As a teenager, on his way to and from work, he'd pass the shop and admire the clothing on display inside the shop (through the front window obviously). So one day Mr. Lansky is locking up when he sees this skinny teenaged boy standing there staring into sho shop. So he asks him, "Would you like to come in and take a look around?" The young kid looks startled then shy and shakes his head and says, "Oh, no. No, thank you. I couldn't afford to buy anything in your shop." Mr. Lansky takes a look at him and says, "Well, you never know until you look around. We're having a sale you know. Come on. Come with me." So Elvis shyly follows Mr. Lansky into his shop and Mr. Lansky sells Elvis a shirt for "less than five dollars". Mr. Lansky explained in an interview: "I knew he was poor. He never hid that from anyone. He was real nice, real polite. So every once in a while he'd come in with some of his saved earnings and bought only one shirt from me for less than five dollars. I never charged him more than five dollars for a shirt back in those days." So Elvis one day told Mr. Lansky- this was before he hit it big, as they say, "Mr. Lansky, one day I'm gonna be famous and buy your store from you." Mr. Lansky said he told Elvis, "Elvis, you don't have to buy the store from me. When you get famous just keep buying from me." To which Elvis replied, "Okay, I'll do that, Mr. Lansky." And according to Mr. Lansky, Elvis kept his word, too. To answer your question: Mr. Lansky loved that car so much that he kept it. He'd gotten a lot of offers for the car in his lifetime (he's now passed away) and always politely refused. That car had sentimental value to him. Because of that, the family still owns that car. They never sold it. And so with the Elvis Presley connection, that KR200 Messerschmitt is the most valuable/ expensive one in existence on the planet. My goodness, I didn't mean to go on so 😂 Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH! Really, really appreciate this reaction and the part 3 coming 🙌 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace & blessings to you & yours 💕

Thank you. I remember that story about how Elvis got started buying his clothes from Lansky's and how he kept his promise to keep buying from them no matter how famous he became - that's exactly the sort of person Elvis was. I believe even the suit Elvis was laid out in in his coffin was from Lansky's too ❤

I know this is about an hour long, but please react to the whole thing in 15-20 min increments! Its soooo worth it! Great info about his generosity, more than just his cars. He bought a car for a girl who couldn't afford one because she was a student and worked. He told her to be at Graceland that week. He paid her to answer the phone and study/do her homework. He paid for her school and clothes. Dont know her name, but she was a black girl. Not that it matters, but it gets me so upset how so many people out there, still, think this man was racist and stole music! If he sang a song that wasnt his, I saw interviews and documentaries how he sent them bigtime royalties! Cant wait for part 3. Thank u guys. If u can, check out Never Been to Spain Live . Instrumentals are INSANE

Very well said. I just wish more people would take the time to watch documentaries like this and learn about Elvis the person, the kind, caring, generous human being that he was, before they criticize and believe all the rumours about him - just like the lyrics in 'Walk a Mile in my Shoes'. Thank you ❤

EP loved the people around him. The joy that he got out of giving melts my heart. He...to this day is a role model and forever the king. We should all remember that his legacy does not necessarily mean that we have to give cars or money. The giving of our time.. a smile an ear to listen...a shoulder to lean on and to just be a friend to someone e that needs it. That..along with his music is his true legacy. Thank you for sharing. The time that you put into bringing us these videos is a lot and you are appreciated. TCB 👑⚡️

The Pantera is a Ford, and smaller like Elvis's black Ferrari. But Elvis did prefer American, typically, but also would buy Mercedes Benz' for a lot of people who preferred them. The Pantera wouldn't start one time, I know too, and he shot it and I believe it started after that. While Elvis also had the first Stutz Blackhawk in America, which was supposed to be for Sinatra, but he talked the guy into giving it to him, first, and then Sammy Davis, Dean Martin, etc., all decided the Stutz was the way to go.

I've been an Elvis fan since I was a kid in the 60's. Big Fan. It always bothered me that a lot of blacks thought Elvis was a prejudice person which I knew he wasn't. It's really cool to see blacks finally seeing Elvis for who he really was and how he treated blacks and how they treated him in return. There's a video out there somewhere where Elvis spent 2 weeks with Muhammad Ali, at Muhammad's training camp in Pa. We all know Muhammad Ali wasn't going to hang or mess with a person that thought might be prejudice. I'm glad you two see the real Elvis and who he really was.
