I was 7 years old when Elvis passed. We were living in Auckland, New Zealand. We had just got our first colour TV. I was watching dad set up the TV, and the news came on that Elvis had passed. Mum was in the kitchen cooking and burst out crying. I asked dad...Who is Elvis, why is mum sad? He said to me, your mum loved Elvis. I will never forget that moment. Mum was the biggest Elvis fan, and I too became a fan. I have never seen a more handsome man, every time I see his videos my heart melts, every time I hear his voice, I get chills. What a Legend. No one will ever come close. Love you Elvis.

I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. I'm listening to Elvis' Blue Christmas. He was my Mom's favorite and how can you NOT love watching or listening to him! He was the most handsome man and could sing any type of music- Rock, Blues, R&B, Gospel- and do it flawlessly. I remember the day he died, being a little girl, and my Mom cried and cried. He was one of a kind and I think we ALL love Elvis Presley, no matter what age you are. 🙂👍❤🙏

It is almost unfair for the next generations who never got to see and live his days. I was one of those teenagers in the 50’s. I was hating the thought of getting up out of bed, getting ready for school, when “Heartbreak Hotel” came on the radio and I was out of bed like a shot, racing to the radio to turn that music up as loud as my mother would allow! For weeks (I think) it was played every morning, same time, better than any alarm clock ever. Saw him years later perform live in Chicago. Unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable. These videos are great. Now magnify each video a thousand times and that’s what his live performances were.

My Mother loved him and, needless to say, we had ELVIS Movies and Music playing 'round the clock at our house! It was if he were a member of our Family! I got to see Elvis back in 73 at the Inglewood Forum. Our seats were way up in the rafters but I didn't care because to me it was an honor and a privilege to listen to such a humble man sing.
