@@michael1997 perhaps you misunderstood me. The press conference was approx. 12 minutes long. So far only about a minute of it has surfaced. Just from the other press conference examples out there....no journalist goes to an Elvis press conference and films one minute of it. And there were many journalist there.

Really great remastering as usual, I have listened to this clip many times over the years and it was always a bit dulled or not as clear, but however you have isolated or enhanced his voice the clarity is excellent. Thanks

@@intelizWild It wasn't depression, it was just him on his downers. he LIKED the effects of the different meds. Ther movie painted Elvis as being a depressed tragic figure driven to drugs through depression an disappointments, The fact is earlier in his life he liked amphetamines by 1972 Elvis LIKED taking drugs that relaxed him.

Elvis was addicted to Prescription drugs, he loved the feeling he got from them. he even had a 3 inch thick book (I forget the name of it) that was a dictionary of prescription drugs, he used it as a reference and guide to choose which drugs he could use for the sedative effect or amp effect he wanted. He was ill because of the drugs he took which ravaged his body and mind. PERIOD, he was a drug addict that had unscrupulous Doctors.

Love Elvis, but some commenters on here seem to have their blinders on. He was like 3 different Elvis' for his 3 press conferences in 1972. June was Elvis, September he seemed like he was wired on stimulants Elvis & November it seemed like Elvis was sluggish, on downers and gained some weight since that September press conference. Didn't the aloha producer meet Elvis at this time period and said bluntly to Elvis about losing weight if I'm not mistaken. And that motivated and inspired Elvis to do what producer said. And the rest is history.
