You are not hearing "the real truth" you're only hearing one person's version of how he could be some of the time. Elvis, unfortunately, did become addicted to pills (medications he started taking for genuine health conditions)so yes, I'm sure there were times when he persuaded members of his MM to get him what he believed he needed/wanted and then rewarded them with gifts. However, there are many more times that he gave to people and good causes just because he wanted to. Anyone that does the research knows that the "real" Elvis was a genuine, humble, generous person that cared about people. No, he was not perfect, he was human, but he had a big heart! There was ALOT of good in him!!
