Cant wait till i go to Memphis and go to all the places you've featured that are Elvis history. The Audubon Drive house is 1st on my list and your videos for that home are how i found you! Great work! and Much Love from Michigan!

Baptist was the hospital that Elvis always used. His records were there. It makes sense to take him there. Plus the ambulance drivers usually make the call on which hospital they are taking you too.

It's definitely a much longer trip to Baptist Hospital than it is to Methodist Hospital. Like you said in your last video, Dr. Nick had his reasons for having the paramedics take Elvis to Baptist hospital. From what I've heard, Elvis was already dead so I don't imagine it would've made much difference if they had taken him to Methodist instead. I guess it was a last ditch effort taking him. Dr. Nick was more than just Elvis' doctor, he was his friend so I'm sure he was holding onto the hope of somehow helping him. Sadly we all know that it would be a day in history that the world would never forget.

Great video, I've been to Memphis a few times and stayed at the Peabody drove past that area a hundred times and never knew that was the site of Baptist memorial. I went to the old Cadillac dealership up the street had my picture taken at the same spot elvis stood. Sound silly but I love it. Thanks again spa guy. If ever in the Bristol tenn. Area holler it me lol

Thank you Mr. Spa Guy. Always on top of Elvis trivia. I think they went to Baptist Hospital because that was were Elvis usually went and his doctor affiliated there I'm thinking. Sadly I believe he was already dead by the time the ambulance and team arrived at Graceland by hours.Tighten up. Have a blessed day.

Yeah , it doesn't make sense why they didn't go to Methodist Hospital . It was a lot closer than trying to get to Baptist hospital and you had the Gray Ghost going Boogity Boogity ....!! Still seemed like it was taking forever ever . I couldn't imagine what it would have been like if it were a real emergency . I would have been a nervous wreck . Thanks Spa Guy and for showing us what it would have looked like that sad day .

Spa Guy, have you ever done an investigation/topic about the mysterious video footage where someone was filming near Graceland the day Elvis died ? Would be interesting to learn the identity of the drivers of the cars entering Graceland at that time. Also the film supposedly captured the footage of Elvis being loaded into the ambulance before it exited the property. It is blurry but if you stop the video frame by frame it looks like the body on the stretcher is wrapped up completely in white. You can even make out the body is not laying flat on the stretcher. I noticed a few other things in the film footage but wont mention them on here. I remember you did a video with an emotional elderly guy who worked at the hospital and witnesses Elvis ambulance arriving. He said something like the persons head on the stretcher was covered and the body was bouncing/giggling as they rushed the stretcher over the rough sidewalk. I believe that guy, my question is, could rigor mortis have been leaving the body already by the time they got him to the hospital? Thanks..:)

Major hospitals usually campus themselves like car dealerships. Baptist was a world-class, centrally located hospital. Even the new Baptist Hospital close @ 55/Goodman is farther away. Point is, had E lived and had health issues down the road - chances are he would've been medevaced from Graceland to Baptist. Thanks for taking us on the trip, Billy. BTW, noticed you almost made a left onto ramp but quickly righted yourself. Drive carefully, friend.

This was very interesting. I did not know Baptist was no longer there. Maybe if he had been found right after he fell, but we will never know. So appreciate all you do to keep us informed and thank you.

That must have been a difficult job, for you to recreate the ambulance journey, from Graceland, to the Baptist Memorial Hospital. Especially, when Elvis Presley died, on the 16th of August, 1977, aged just 42 years old. If I was in your position, I would be crying, because 1 of the world's greatest entertainers died. You have done a good job. Thank you.

Amazing Spa Guy. This is history that us Elvis fans want to know. How do you speed the video up like that? God thats a long way to the hospital!! I think a broadcast of Elvis being sent to the hospital like some sort of new commentary would make it feel much more appealing etc, would have been more fitting then the music that you chose, but thats just my opinion. So glad you sped the video up. He lived a long way from the hospital.

Oh, no Spa Guy, It has nothing to do with your style. I enjoy your videos immensely. They are a source of great info and have loved them from day one. I just thought of the audio would make it more appealing but it never crossed my mind about owning the rights to it in order to show it on your videos. It was a spur of the moment thought.

great video as always! Except I have to disagree with the "cars did not go as fast back then" statement. As a car guy I can assure you the ambulance would have had at least a 351clevland V8 which was rated at 300 HP, most service vehicles would have had a "performance package" so the ambulance was prolly little more then 300 HP. My point is the ambulance would have easily been able to reach a speed of 80 mph + Not knocking your work at all-in fact it makes my day when i see a new video from you! best regards
@sc13382 жыл бұрын
The ambulance was a Chevy not a ford. So no it wouldn’t have had a 351, but yes it had very modern performance
@christopherarnold15682 жыл бұрын

Hi Spa Guy, great informative videos! Thanks a million. In relation to that fateful day on August 16th, can you confirm or deny reports that a helicopter was seen setting down at Graceland shortly before the ambulance left for the hospital? Are their any records (flight records) that support this? Thanks in advance, Steve

Hello Friend.. I would say to stay at The Guest House it is not a dump but also not 5 star as it states.. But not bad.. Other places I stay is the Pyramid though it is pricey, Lauderdale Courts Elvis' Apartment, The Peabody and The Sheraton or Marriott right off I-240 and Poplar.. Last time we stayed in January I rented a furnished apartment right beside the baseball field downtown for about 120 a night it was really nice.. I did that through hotels.com and it slept 8 with 3 bedrooms and full kitchen and dining.. It was about 2000 sqft and was really convenient especially for Lori since she doesn't care to go with me when I film so it was like being homie for her.. I hd talked to Danny some and they are doing well on the videos.. I play to meet up with Danny soon.. Thanks for watching let em know how the trip goes.. Spa Guy
