My father was a groundskeeper at Graceland from 72-till 1979 when Vernon passed away. I remember going with him on many occasions and sometimes seeing Elvis, he was such a kind and humble person who would say hello to you and treat you with respect never thinking he was above you in any way. My father remembers the day he died and how chaotic it was that day at Graceland. To this day he still tears up remembering that day. He has many pictures of him and Elvis together on the grounds and of Elvis relaxing and enjoying his beloved Graceland.

Wow that's awesome for your Dad and when y0u visited with your Dad, Elvis was a kind, generous soul and pretty humble, he was human like we all are but I've heard soany lovely stories and people who were in his life, who dates him just like the books on Elvis and interviews etc They can say what they like about Elvis but most of what I know like all massive Elvis fans Mostly what a respectful, caring, generous to a fault even strangers, what he gave to charities and somethings he did for strangers that looked like they needed help and he would. He had some bad moods, well hell we all do eh !! At times throughout our lives. I've loved Elvis since I was a young child and my mams a fan and I loved his music and I still do at 53 and ill never stop loving him. There will never be another Elvis ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

When my grandmother was 16 her and four other girls snuck out of their houses and drove 5 hours to go to an Elvis concert my Great Grandfather forbid her to go to. He was a devout Pentecostal preacher and said that Elvis' music and hip gyrating was "of the devil." She talked about women screaming, fainting, dancing and singing and what a wonderful time that she had. I got to take her to Graceland before she passed and I had never seen her happier. Funny thing was is when she went back home she became a musician and was semi-famous. Her career was starting to take off when she found out she was pregnant with my Mom.

On August 17th, 1987 I joined a tour of Graceland with my niece. There were SO many people there, being the 10th anniversary of Elvis' death. People from all over the world. The flowers were overflowing almost to the entrance from the place where he rests. When we drove up to the admission booth, the ticket taker said, " We have a lot of Elvis impersonators here today. We call them Presleyterians". We never saw any bedrooms back then it wasn't open to the public. Glad to be one of the over 20 million.

Know that this is a hard time Lisa and her children she has lost a lot in her life. My prayers are with her and her family as they mourn the lost of her only son I know expert but there might have been some trouble when people would say how much he looked like his grandfather maybe he just couldn't understand the attention he was receiving for his looks and he didn't feel comfortable with the attention that he did get. Hope Lisa finds some peace in her life and I hope that she takes care of herself and her other children.God be with them.

The first time I went to Graceland I went as media, and I got a private tour with a tour guide. They let us walk on the grass and take pictures on the front lawn where most people can't go. When we were in the Jungle Room, I was talking to our tour guide about the vacuum lines in the carpet, because I notice stuff like that. Our tour guide told us that EVERY day, after the tours stop, a cleaning crew comes in and dusts everything and vacuums again.

**LIFELONG ELVIS FAN SINCE IN MY MOM'S WOMB** Your diehard & dedicated Canadian superfan here 🇨🇦 **THANK YOU SOOO MUCH** for recording & posting all these Elvis vids. My Mom is a massive fan of his. Even belonged to a fan club. Naturally, I became one too. Because I've been involved in the Music scene for decades. As a supporter/promoter of friends & family who are all Musicians. Being in those circles. I've, unfortunately, often had to defend Elvis fiercely. As some close minded jerks make fun of him. Because they only think of what he was like near the end. Nothing boils my blood more. No other Musicians to this day. Even come close to his voice & style(with the exception of David Bowie whom is also my #1 idol). Not to mention the sheer variety of genre's he performed. On top of it, his generosity & kind soul. Is second to none. My Mom & I have never been to Graceland yet. So we fully appreciate you uploading this.

I visited Graceland Summer of 1995, I'd been there around 5 or 10 minutes, when I realized I had to pee. Lol 🤣 I asked the tour guide lady if I could use a restroom and she pointed me to a little half bathroom right underneath Elvis's sleeping quarters in the foyer across from the staircase. I was surprised they even let "visitors" use Elvis's bathroom. I felt a little honored to say the least ♥️💕

Graceland is so beautiful in the summer when all the trees and plants are all green. Another very beautiful time time to go is when they open up the gate at 7:30am every morning to let people walk up to the meditation garden. There’s still dew on the ground and the sun poking through the trees. You can just feel Elvis’s presence. It’s amazing!

Jordan I took my wife there just this year. Its been my second time there and just being in the house and places where Elvis lived and played was an amazing VIBE.... Loved all of Elvis's movies but really wasn't into his music as I was in the Beatle era. With that said,, after coming from the tour my appreciation of the KING has completely changed.... he WAS an amazing man.... this is a place where you can always go back and still take it all in.....My wife and I sat on the bench under the car port just taking in the world of the King... so piecefull... people would walk by and then there would be a pause and we would be by ourselves sitting there... watching Elvis playing Football and shooting fireworks and riding go karts.... very cool..... nice job...

Thank you for sharing all your lovely (and quite detailed) photos of Graceland with us! I wasn't a huge fan of Elvis' music but I admired him and think he was a great musician and entertainer! If I were ever in the general area of Memphis, Tennessee, I would definitely want to visit Graceland! This is the first time I've seen such a nice compilation & assortment of photos of Graceland - inside & out!! I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and have never been any further *south* than Danvers, Mass. (mid 1970's)! I've never had the time, the money or an inclination to travel, really! I/we drove to New Hampshire,on our honeymoon,in May 1969 and it was getting a little too hot & humid for me even that early in the late Spring early Summer (lol)!! I've driven 'through' Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and 'upstate' New York on my way to Toronto, in September about 23 years ago. September & October are the best times to travel (driving) through the N.E., because all the leaves are turning their brilliant & vibrant tones of red, orange, yellow & brown...just the same as in eastern Canada! :-)

For my husband's 50th birthday (2013) I bought us VIP passes to see this. It was different then. The racketball board building as a showplace for all of his stage costumes. There must have been 15 to 20 different jumpsuits all on life-size figures. The room you showed with the Wedding outfits had different items in it then in your video. The wedding clothing was there but so was most of his clothing, TVs, and awards including his Grammy for his Gospel album. Between Graceland, the planes, and the other buildings with cars and things, we spent 6 hours viewing all of Elvis' things.

August 16, 1977 - i'll always remember that day Jordan, mainly because it was a Tuesday and I got hit by a car riding my motorcycle - i was 17 and taken by ambulance to the hospital with what turned out to be, luckily for me, just a swollen and badly bruised knee from being thrown over the handlebars when i was hit - they decided to keep me overnight for observation and I remember turning on the TV when i got to my room and Elvis Presley's death was a breaking story - my dad was with me, he had met Elvis Presley before I was even born when they worked together on the movie Flaming Star in 1960 - in fact, my younger brother is named Pacer, after the character Elvis portrayed in that movie - needless to say, we were all HUGE Elvis Presley fans - the gun you mentioned @17:17 is one of Elvis's Colt 1911's in .45 ACP although he did own a few Beretta's too - quite the gun guy, lot's of interesting stories out there about Elvis and some of his gun related "incidents" - one i recall, on the day he visited the White House the Secret Service decided to pat him down before meeting then President Richard Nixon to receive an honorary DEA credential - allegedly the Secret Service discovered that he was carrying a little pocket .22 at the time - only Elvis Presley :)

I went to Graceland the march before Covid took over. I was not a huge Elvis fan even though my father was and I knew a little about him. I watched the Elvis movie when it came out and oh my lord was it incredible. I'm going back to Memphis next March or April for my uncle's wedding. And there is no way in hell that I'm not going back.

@@karolinesmail489 I went to Graceland and stood on Elvis's front porch in November of 1976 while he was still living! His uncle Vester let me and my family in through the gates that day! Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Elvis because he wasn't at home at the time but it is still something I will never forget!

I'm happy to see you made it to Graceland! Things have surely changed ex: the gate house where Elvis's uncle Vestor worked (was also married to Glady's Presley's sister Clettes Smith) was the original gateman and worked from a little wooden shack (not a brick gate house) Much has remained the same inside the house, the back of the house otherwise, everything else looks so different I wish you would have been able to see it back in the day also! I'm happy you had a good time

The final home and resting place of Elvis A. Presley...such a wonderful throwback to when he was alive. My dad was born about two years or so before Mr. Presley passed away, so I'm sure my dad has heard much of the music from him. Rest in Peace, Mr. Presley.

Excellent tour, full of info and you took time for the little things. I was at Graceland on the 1st anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. The Memphis Police were on strike at the time. We got to write on the wall at the gates. The streets were so full of vendors and selling anything and everything Elvis.

What a fabulous tour you gave us, better than any professional guided tour. The house is amazing and you showed so much detail. You make everything so interesting with the details and past history you tell us about. You are great at that in every video. You make people who I am not interested in so real that I have to learn more about them and do research on my own. Thanks so much for all you do. You have open my eyes to so many things I would have other wise ignored. Thank you again. P.S. loved seeing the wedding gown.

Oh wow! Only Elvis could get away with these decorating themes. It’s so rich looking and sure is busy. Especially the jungle room. Can’t imagine where he found some of those pieces of furniture and all the items really. Very unique…so was Elvis..❤️

Thank you for this video ! I've always wanted to go to Graceland. I've been in close proximity to it but my Dad didn't want to take us there. When I married I hoped to make that trip with my husband. He wasn't an Elvis fan 😵 . Shocking, I know ! Anyway now I am older and cannot travel easily. So thank you for allowing me to see it through your camera and seeing all the details of his home. Elvis was in my life from a young age. My Grandmother loved Elvis and always played his hymns on the record player. What great memories !!

When I went to Graceland nearly 20 years ago, the Racquetball Building was used to display all of Elvis's awards on the old tour. I'm glad they restored it to it's original glory. He used that piano and sang a gospel song supposedly before he went to bed before he died.

Has changed quite a lot since I was there, back in the summer of 80. Got to visit Graceland many times an took 3 of the tours. Took many photos but they have been sold. Now on a flashdrive. Lost my TCB necklace. Many of my relatives live in the area. Was working the next town over for a few months. Really cool video. I was also shocked at the size of the pool. Could not go inside the house, back in 80
