I'm 77 years old, Elliot and have listened to Elvis for 66 of those years. I was twelve, and stopped in my tracks upon hearing him sing 'Don't' for the first time. I got that same sensation hearing you tonight. As the man himself once said, 'keep singing the song.' You did him proud and am sure he is applauding you - wherever he is. Brilliant rendition of this song, Elliot. The King of Rock and Roll would be proud. On a personal note, growing up in the 60's, I always appreciated on Saturdays if my mom was up before my dad-- she'd play her Elvis albums on our Hi-Fi Stereo console. Lol, so true. Rap was banned in our household when the kids were small. Today we can happily enjoy when our offsprings listen to the classics and surprisingly even know the lyrics. Congrats Elliot, I myself listen to Elvis Presley.since I heard him for the vert first time when I was 13, (meanwhile I'm 56 and still sing his wonderful songs. I myself recorded in a very basic home studio and without using autotune over 700 of his 785 official songs). This song is a masterpiece and very hard to sing. The last time tried it was a couple hours ago. 😂 The power, the attitude, the wonderful lyrics, the deep sense of it, that message of peace and unity moves me every single time.
