Despite it often seen as being an integral part of Elvis set list the majority of his renditions took place during 1972, 1976 and 1977. In fact, of the 101 known complete renditions, only nine took place in the three years between 1972 and 1976 and these versions are the focus of this compilation.
It should also be noted that Elvis attempted a rendition in the Omaha Civic Auditorium on 30 June 1974 but gave up before singing a note as Glen Hardin constantly repeated the intro. It seems tat they could not locate the lyric sheet for Elvia and so had to move on.
Please note that version six has very poor audio but is included so that no rendition has been omitted!

I love Version Eight cuz Elvis' most refined, weighty and touching voice, and fantastic harmony of voices in a duet with Sherill Neilsen, made this song sound the most beautiful, magnificent and touching. But his singing is great in all versions. Thanks Leon for this beautiful share!!! 💜! 💚! 💛!

Thanks. Terrific. But In my humble opinion you missed the best version thats not on your list. And thats his final one from the 1977 Elvis In Concert album. It never fails to blow me away. Its almost prophetic in his delivery of it. With the standout line 'To think, i did all that'

Elvis' actual final rendition of "My Way" was in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 25th - his next to last concert before ending the following night in Indianapolis. What's on the "Elvis In Concert" album and the CBS TV special was recorded several days earlier in the tour, in Rapid City, SD and Omaha, Nebraska.

​@@ThamiumOne I actually watched the original broadcast when I was 15 yrs old. At that time Elvis ruled my life. My bedroom walls were not visible for Elvis posters and pictures. His music filled the air. I could only afford the Pickwick budget albums and i used my school lunch money to buy one a wk. Loved those albums then. Love them now. Hungry but happy! :-)

Hi Michael. the 'B' side to America The Beautiful is from Rapid City on 21 June 1977. America is from December 75, the version included is the only time that he performed the song during that engagement.

The 10 December 1975 rendition is included it is Version #8. However, Elvis did NOT perform the song on 11 December. That audio from that show is avialable on two separate CD's. one called American Glory - the other December heights.
