Elvis was a pilot, wanted to go into NASA, was barking friends in the RV life style, who want's to buy a heart! The best of our early 1960's Elvis Movies all these years of love!

Sad fact: This was the first Elvis single not to crack the Billboard Top 10 since Elvis broke through in 1956, and it's one of his better movie songs.

Its beyond belief how the radio media only ever play the same dozen or so "obvious " Elvis songs over and over , while hundreds of Elvis songs , including this song , never ever get played at all . This king deserved better !

It's impossible to choose any Elvis song as his best...everything he ever sang turned out to be his best. Elvis has a distinctive, beautiful, easily recognized voice at the first word he sings. One Broken Heart For Sale...hear the first note and you know it's Elvis. The greatest singer whoever lived? The word "best" says it all. And. I might add, the prettiest!!!

This was the more homogenized period of Elvis's career. Not as raw and blatantly sexual as earlier. All this did was earn him even more fans than ever. Everything he did stylistically turned to gold and platinum. A star beyond the stars.

This was the song that broke Elvis Presley's incredible streak of 25 top 5 hits in a row. In fact it didn't even make the top ten stalling at #11. In 1963 Elvis was definitively starting to go down hill after his eight year perch as the top.

On this day in 1963 {April 3rd} the Elvis Presley film "It Happened at the World's Fair" had its world premier and opened in theaters across the U.S.A. It was filmed at the site of the 'Century 21 Exposition' {the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle, WA}... Two songs featured in the movie made the Top 100; "One Broken Heart For Sale" {the A-side} peaked at #11 while the B-side, "They Remind Me Too Much of You" reached #53... R.I.P. to The King {1935 - 1977}...

And this being Elvis, the record's B-Side, "They Remind Me Too Much of You", also made the Top 100, it reached #53 and stay on the chart for four weeks... "One Broken Heart for Sale" was the first of three* Elvis records that peaked at #11, thus all three just missed making the Top 10... * The two other records that peaked at #11 were "(Such As) Easy Question" in 1965 and "I'm Yours", also in 1965...

On this day in 1963 {April 3rd} Elvis' twelfth feature movie, 'It Happened at the World's Fair', opened in theaters across the U.S.A. and Canada... At the time "One Broken Heart For Sale", which was featured in the movie, was at #29 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; a little under one month earlier on March 10th, 1963 it peaked at #11 {for 2 weeks} and spent 9 weeks on the Top 100... And of course this being an Elvis record, the B-side, "They Remind Me Too Much of You", also charted, it reached #53 on the Top 100... "One Broken Heart For Sale" was one of four Elvis records that peaked at #11, he had thirty-seven make the Top 10 with eighteen reaching #1...
