Jane H commenting …. Elvis was always playful during his concerts, & musicians & backup singers never knew what he would suddenly do. He had a wonderful sense of humour. He was also a humanitarian, giving away millions of dollars over his career, to help others. When he died, he was financially supporting fifty charities in Tennessee, & had done a number of benefit concerts. You should React to The King of Kindness. Elvis was said to be the most charitable music artist of the twentieth century. He gave, & gave, & gave. He bought houses for people, paid their medical bills, bought brand new Cadillacs for complete strangers, family & his employees & their families. He was a man who loved making people happy.

For any time this was a great delivery. A man, his voice, body and band. He didn't require theatrics, 100 back up dancers, auto tune, lip sync, etc...This was the one who started it all and to this day no one can top him. Vicki

Ronnie Tutt was a fantastic drummer in a good friend of Elvis. He and everybody in that TCB band were top-notch. I mean extremely talented and able to roll with Elvis being unpredictable. Elvis did his own arrangements as well and he worked them out with the band in rehearsals

I must have seen thousands of clips of Elvis over the years of my life-pictures, listened to records, heard all of his songs, watched his movies when I was little. I could certainly understand the appeal, why people loved him. But it wasn't until I saw this video you're watching, a few years ago (and I'm an American, lol-no excuses to not have seen this before) that it all really clicked in my mind. He was an epic showman. He put everything he had into his performances. I knew he had the charm and great voice, certainly, but this performance made me truly understand the depth of people's love for him.

@@MigdaliaTomalinas-os2nz he had plenty of great songs but also plenty of clunkers. This was mainly due to him not putting his foot down and demanding better material. Which is what all artists want in the end

There has been a big Elvis fan club in England since Elvis began performing live concerts again in 1968. Members would annually travel to America & go to one of his Las Vegas concerts. People would come from all over the world to watch him perform. He was a superstar right up until his death. This concert is 1970 Las Vegas, which I think were his favourite concerts to perform, & he would do two concerts a night 7 days a week for a month, living with all his bodyguards, musicians, manager, etc in the International Hilton itself. Elvis would often change a line or two in a song, like in this one it’s Shove it up your nose.

@leroy Leach Hello Leroy, thank you for subscribing. This is where I found my information: www.openculture.com/2021/10/elvis-three-appearances-on-the-ed-sullivan-shows.html Hope that helps and this is a small section: "Elvis’ third visit to Sullivan’s show, January 6th, 1957, would prove to be his last, owing to the astronomical fee his manager Colonel Tom Parker set for future television appearances: $300,000 with the promise of two guest spots and an hour-long special. An attempt to book Elvis for Sullivan’s 10th anniversary celebration, was thwarted by the fact that Elvis was abroad, serving in the Army."
