I love seeing people react to this song…especially this one…Elvis had a way of connecting with the audience…but especially with the Gospel music…he felt it with every fiber of his being…you can hear his regret for past sins and current ones…and he knows where his only hope is placed…in Jesus…Jesus you are our only Hope in this life…Our Hope of Healing and Heaven…❤️🙏🏻

Only Elvis could get away with singing gospel at a rock concert. Great reaction. Cheers!

Every time i hear a gospel song from Elvis, it makes me realise how the world today is so far from Jesus. This song just makes you reconnect with the Lord. Love Elvis for making me think about Jesus and focus in what really is important in Life.

Elvis was a very humble and generous man who owed it all to the Lord. Written by Kris Kristofferson and his version of How Great thou Art on his last concert will melt your heart ❤️ 💙

Lovely reaction! J.D. Sumner and Elvis were friends since Elvis was 15 years old. Throughout his childhood, Elvis had a special love for gospel quartets. He attended J.D.'s concerts every month. When he didn't attend one time, J.D. asked him the following month why he wasn't there the previous month. Elvis said he didn't have enough money to buy a ticket. From then on they let him in for free. Elvis' dream was to sing in a gospel quartet. Even though it didn't work out for him, in a way it did because from early on (even in the movies) he always had a gospel quartet as part of his group.

Yes very beautiful rendition by Elvis and his backup crew here. Sweet Cindy should have 1 million subscribers. Too many ignorant drug-rattled minds out here.

Wow! So pleased at your reaction Cindy! This is definitely one of my favourite Gospel songs by Elvis, and he did So many! I have many 'live' versions of this in my collection and Every single performance is a winner Cindy so I am very glad you are so touched by it. Whether you believe or not, i would like you to check out a fantastic guy (and his equally fantastic wife) Daniel and Tanya Chand, on their separate you tube sites, and then (if you are interested) Pragma Church where they are both 'brilliant' young Holy Spirit fire filled Christian Evangelists. Might not be your thing but Please give them a try as they are such a wonderful couple. God's love and Thanks once again for your 'super' reaction on this video. 😀

Absolutely beautiful. I love Elvis' powerful voice. And Kathy Westmoreland is the soprano in the background. Chilling stuff! Elvis always honoured the Lord at his concerts. 👍⚡🙌🙏

Elvis + gospel music = perfection! To see him and some of his group singing gospel informally (which they did often): Elvis the lighthouse lead me rock my soul (4:13). This is one that Elvis doesn't sing in, but it's beautiful and just watching him listen is an experience in itself: Elvis Presley - Sweet Sweet Spirit (Revised 2015 Version) - Elvis On Tour (2:44). And I know you'd enjoy "Reach Out to Jesus".

Elvis read the Bible everyday n often sang gospel music sometimes all night long his ex-wife said. Elvis .I was friends with Charlie Hodge his confidant and best friend for years after Elvis died n he told me many things about Elvis Another thing.Elvis was always nervous before going on stage so he would have the guys sing a gospel song to relax him before running on stage n also would say a prayer. He said he loved to sing gospel music better than any of his other music. Jesus helped him thru the lonely times of being a famous star.
