@ CC Rider, I remember when I was a little girl, my family and I would stop at this store in Stone Mountain GA. and it would have these posters in the window showing who was coming to the Omni in Atlanta GA. next. Sometimes it would be Elvis. But I also remember seeing posters of the Osmond's up in the store window too and I used to think....Hey, they look like Elvis. They have same hair style and the same outfits. This story explains that. It has come full circle. I can still see those posters up in that store window. 😲😃❤ That is so awesome to find out how they come about getting thier look from Elvis after all these years. Great story!! Thank you so much for sharing this video. That made my day. 👍❤❤❤😊

As a kid I was a big fan of the Osmond brothers, Donny was my first crush. Elvis had always been a presence in my life and I was always a fan however it's strange in all these years I never knew of the connection between them and Elvis and I never connected the jumpsuits and yet it seems so obvious now.

So glad that Elvis had their mother that he could "ring-up" and talk to. It must have meant the world to him. So many wonderful stories about Elvis out there. I knew there was some connection that he had with the Osmonds, but didn't know what it was. Saw them years ago in New Jersey sporting their Elvis inspired jumpsuits. Who knew! They were fabulous. Thanks for the video!

They looked good in those jumpsuits. I recall The Osmonds preceding the Jackson 5 on television shows; just before and after Donny joined. They were outstandingly talented; having great harmonies and could tap dance (very well). They did strait-laced show biz stuff. But when the J5 hit HARD: The Osmond Brothers became "The Osmonds"; changed their act and got a cross-over "R&B" hit and we called them the obvious "white version of the J5". But that view was only for a number of years and ran its course. The comparisons were inevitable and apparent, both fair and unfair. The Osmonds were, in my retrospect, a more talented group. They were each superior dancers, singers and musicians in equal measure. The Jacksons had SOUL, and of course, incomparable dynamite, Mike. Props, love and respect to both showbiz groups and families. (Great Elvis stories, better than the play. Work on that, Jay. Big fan.)

I was born & raised in Memphis. Being a young girl in Memphis in the 1960s, and in the 1970s, I was an Osmond Brothers fan & saw them at the Mid-South Coliseum. One year when the Osmonds performed, a fire at the hotel they were staying at caused their costumes to be damaged beyond salvaging. I can't remember the details of what happened next but, if I remember correctly, Elvis or his jumpsuit designer stepped in to save the day & I am pretty certain the show went on.

Yes, an electric wheel chair. The lady didn't recognise Elvis, and when his entourage left, Sonny said "Elvis she didn't recognise you!" Elvis replied "That doesn't matter. All that matters is that she knows somebody cared!" What an amazing man he was.

Priscilla wants the noise ignored because it contains the truth. I think it's disgraceful that no video, no appearance, no statement to thousands of Elvis fans at the Anniversary in Graceland in August 2023. It was left to fans and Joel Weinshanker to even mention Lisa. Linda Thompson Jenner Foster (a girlfriend of Elvis') took such a major role at this occasion was so ridiculous. Let's say Riley was too busy. Riley is the HEAD of Graceland. To not even post a video to all the fans that attend Graceland every year, and especially now when Priscilla is out and Riley is in. She needed to address the fans and let them KNOW that she IS interested in her role as HEAD of Graceland. Priscilla got her money and everything she wanted ? I can see why she eliminated herself from any acknowledgement of Graceland. Not a very intelligent move since she went to court to try to be buried there. She may be rethinking her burial there due to the fact that fans were horrified by her greediness in taking her own daughter's final requests to court and shredded them, while Riley acquiesced to Priscilla's every whim. It was left to Elvis fans to deliver accolades for Lisa Marie. It looked like Riley and Priscilla wanted NO part of honoring Lisa at the once a year anniversary of Elvis. Lisa has literally gotten the shaft from both Priscilla and Riley in the minuteness of anything they said. Big deal....Riley last saw her mother at dinner. Priscilla hadn't spoken to her own daughter in 8 years. She delivered one sentence when Lisa died. That was it. To have seen the condition Lisa was in at the GG and not Riley nor Priscilla be concerned to get her to a doctor immediately for observation? Is it because Riley and Priscilla are Scientologists? Lisa had left the church and she wasn't, so why wouldn't they get her medical help or evaluation after the GG's. I don't think Riley has any responsibility for holding Graceland together. She's said she has hardly any personal attachment even though her mother made sure Riley, Ben and the twins were AT GRACELAND for Elvis' anniversary. Riley needs to address ELVIS FANS who keep Elvis' memory alive. Introduce herself as the HEAD of GRACELAND. Riley should have presented, at the very least, a video explaining that she could not be there BUT..... The fans deserved it after months of arguing over money instead of the loss of the Lisa, Elvis' daughter. Riley would rather report how she didn't have much of a connection to her grandfather's memory (when she was there every year for his birthday) but she related more memories to being at Michael Jackson's. Even if that's true, why even mention that? Lisa always said she trained Riley. Did she? Really?

Riley told Vogue magazine Neverland was more of a home to her growing up! She viewed Graceland as a museum. 😮
