Thank you for posting this!! I just LOVE Larry Gellar. He is my absolute favorite men of Elvis's inner circle. His book was fantastic! I believe that Larry, (other than Billy Smith), was the one true friend Elvis had around him who was there for him and supported him in every way and whom Elvis could trust had his best interest at heart and didnt want anything from him but friendship. What about Jerry Schilling😡
@theapavlou30303 ай бұрын
@user-sb9lz9bm4e he's pallied up to Priscilla the snake, plus Jerry was not there for the last year of Elvis' life, he'd gone to manage the beach boys

@theapavlou3030 I understand your ambivalence about Jerry. But I do trust Lisa’s judgement and she did trust him. I also thought Jerry’s book was one of the best. When I read about the fight the two of them had and Jerry walked all the way back to the house in L.A. and started to pack to go home. As he began to have second thoughts he saw Elvis standing quietly in his bedroom doorway, Elvis silently walked into the room and hesitantly started to take Jerry’s clothes out of the suitcase and put them back in the dresser. The two of them unpacked Jerry’s suitcase together and after that there was nothing left to say. I thought the whole story was one of the most beautiful interactions and examples of two friends making up after an argument that I had ever heard of. I still get a lump in my throat just remembering reading about it. It was so inspirational. I realize it appears that Pri$$y tells Jerry to jump and Jerry asks, “how high”. On the other hand, I do believe that Jerry is willing to kiss PB’s behind if he wants to stay in Finley and Harper’s life, and by doing so, and with the grace of God, Jerry can someday tell Riley and the twins all of the good stuff about Elvis. Especially with Lisa gone, Jerry is the only one with an iota of a chance of communicating with the twins and letting them know what Elvis’s cultural impact was and even much, much more importantly what a inherently decent man their grandfather was. Because none of the three granddaughters will ever hear that from their grandmother. To me it seems just like one more hostage situation that PB seems to enjoy creating, using her own grandchildren as pawns. What hurts so much is that the granddaughters will never know Larry Geller, the true friend who loved their grandfather and knew him so well. PB detested Larry and would never allow that meeting to ever happen. And that is such a loss for both the granddaughters and for Larry.

I also think Charlie Hodge was a true friend. And so is George Klein. Both of their books are fantastic

@@LindaWiteline Jerry Schilling was without doubt a great friend. But his book was awful -- it was more about himself than about Elvis. Elvis was a ghost figure and Jerry also white washed and lied. Billy Smith in the Memphis Mafia book brings Elvis to life in ways that moe you to tears -- he doesn´t talk about himself but about Elvis and in the most intimate and touching way

Larry Geller is a very interesting guy! He was a close friend of Elvis! I love his recounting of his witnessing Elvis’s meeting with the Beatles! He was one of the few people who witnessed this historic event. He describes it well and he had his mind blown seeing them together! Too bad the Colonel didn’t allow any recording or even a picture. What a moron! They even jammed on a song together! I would have like to hear what that sounded like! And I especially wanted to hear their conversation! But we can’t because of one Bad Manager! Thanks for nothing! So I appreciate Larry Geller!

Mr Larry is a real friend. He always talks eloquently about Elvis. Linda Thompson always talks about herself and her importance.
@patpargeter60503 ай бұрын
Exactly Linda Thompson is so egotistical about herself. She thinks she was the only girlfriend Elvis ever had. He was trying to get rid of her from as early as 1974. She didn't take the hint, even though he was datng other women. Sheila Ryan was one for about 2 years, but Linda still states she was with him for 4 and half years.
@Furbabies-58243 ай бұрын
I totally disagree about Linda you are 💯 wrong. If you follow her on social media she tells different things Elvis had done with her and Lisa Marie. She answers questions from their fans. She tells the good and bad about their relationship with both. Maybe instead of judging her read her book and check her social media websites. She is always encouraging people to be nicer not like on social media and people like you all. Prayers and God's blessings to everyone and your families and remember not to judge people you never met or even seen in person.
@patpargeter60503 ай бұрын
@Furbabies-5824 did you know that Lisa didn't have anything to do with Linda, when she got older. She called both Linda and the MM guys, leeches in her outburst. She accused them of writing and making statements about her father, which he lost his dignity. Billy Smith, wrote about it in the MM book. He regretted it later, but to late it was published...Linda wrote stuff as well, trying to make out she was a saint. Lisa wouldn't even accept her friend request on Facebook..

@Furbabies-5824 as for following her, if you tell the truth, she blocks you.
@janetbrowntlc3 ай бұрын
@@Furbabies-5824Does Linda tell about cheating on Elvis with his keyboard player...at the same time hollering, " I love you Elvis !!" Elvis was nobody's fool. He'd replaced her a long time before he kicked her to the curb. Linda loves Linda and every dollar she can make telling her lies about how much she and Elvis loved each otber. She used poor little Lisa as a pawn. Lisa grew up and saw how deceitful Linda truly is.
