Used to talk to Bill on a Elvis newsgroup back in the late 90s early 2000s. Marty was there all the time, Charlie, Larry Gellar, a very nice lady who at the time owned Vernon 's house (she offered to let me stay there) and was Kathy Westmoreland 's manager. She also wanted to give me John Wilkinson 's phone number and said he enjoyed talking to Elvis fans, but I was a little shy and told her I wouldn't know what to say. Wished I had now. Not sure if Lamar was on there, but it was a good time.

There are so many stories in Elvis's life, it would be impossible to fit into one movie. However, movies could focus on different stories. I would love to see a movie on the Elvis and June story. You can tell by the pics they were young, in love, and happy. One of my favorite stories that I wouldn't know about if it weren't for Spa Guy.

Trey I just love how you get into the meat and bones of Elvis history! It's amazing all that Elvis did and how many people he came in contact with in his short life! He lived like 3 lifetimes in a half a life, which makes him even more amazing as a person aside from his talent! That's saying a mouthful and it's true! All these facts that you give us, helps us educate the newer fans on Elvis the man. That seems to solidify their love of Elvis as much or more than what he accomplished . Which I do recount all the things he was first in during his career, that the stars of today do.

Thank you for this! As Bill’s oldest grandson, I can tell you there was so much more to this man than just Elvis. A LtCol in the Air Force, pilot, writer in sports… the list goes on. My dad, Gary, used to tell me that big names would call him all hours of the day. When one of the kids answered the phone, you never knew who you would be talking to. In my young 20s, I was stupid enough to ask if EP was still alive. “Scottie, I was friends with that man for 20 years, and I can tell you without a doubt that man was in that casket and buried at Forrest Hills!” (This was before he was moved to Graceland). His passing in 2008 left a hole. So many questions I still want to ask him, so much advice I wanted to receive. The last thing he said to me was when I last spoke to him after joining the Air Force myself was, “Scottie, I’m proud of you son, and the man the Air Force will help you become”. Thank you, again, for putting this out there, not only so I can hear the man’s voice, but to learn more about the man, the myth, the legend. Tim (Scott) Burk

Tim, I appreciate this comment. You have a cool grandad and his research and interviews are very valuable to the Elvis story. I’m interested to doing more episodes on your grandfathers life in the future. Let me know if you would be interested in talking about him and I could include you in the show.

Wow - that was very interesting. Loved his interview, and thanx for sharing the story he wrote. It's funny that he should be afraid of flying in the early years and then buy his own airplanes to travel. But anyway - this was a treat to watch. Thanx for keeping up the great work. Looking forward to the next one. Take care.

Who was it that had the welcome home Elvis show? SINATRA Who was the one that loaned Elvis planes several times including to take Elvis and Priscilla and their wedding party to Vegas for them to get married? Frank Sinatra. So Frank was no slouch. He liked Elvis and Elvis liked him. Franks daughter had a big crush on Elvis.

That’s true.that was back when he got out of the army in New York. Later on, they knew each other pretty good. Frank had a home in Palm Springs and so did Elvis. Frank and Elvis got to know each other. And Frank loaned Elvis planes several times. Also Sammy Davis Jr knew Elvis well. When Thry were all in Vegas Sammy attended parties at Elvis suite at the international hotel.
