This show was the first concert my wife and I went to together. My 13th time seeing EC (out of 15...so far, got tix for April). This is my favorite time I've seen him do it. I love that he gets extemporaneous in it with the Tears of a Clown. That is why I go to see him time after time. The Tears of a Clown part made me think of the cover of Spike and The Beloved Entertainer.

Funny you should ask. Lots of people disliked Costello because he always sang with an American accent (this was during the post-punk 'New Wave' era. I was a massive fan and was able to overlook this flaw!

Bit harsh. Ok, getting someone up from the audience is a little tacky, but that's what this tour was based on. Honestly I really enjoyed the performance. The vocals were terrific and the band dynamics were great as well. Do you never make a mistake? Then you've never played live. Hurt your ears - really? It must be nice to be so perfect.
