I was blessed to meet Elvis many times in Memphis. I was at the Mempehan theater where he would rent it for new movies before they were realised. It was always at midnight because he was not able to go anywhere during the day without a huge crowd showing up. He would also have the mid- south fairgrounds rented out for his friends to ride all of the rides and eat and drink all night. This was also always at midnight. He would thank and shake everyone's hand. He was such a gentleman and so polite to everyone. It's been a long time ago but it is still one of my favorite moments in my life. GOD bless the King of Rock and Roll. There will never be another one like him.🙏🙏❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸

In Denver Co., a police officer passed away, and he still had the Cadillac that Elvis had bought as a thank you for him for taking care of him so well. The amazing thing about it was that he never drove it, never put license on it, and the title was still in Elvis's name. He was such a generous, caring man. He would try and help strangers. It's sad that drugs and a couple of snakes got to him. I will remember the Man, and not the mistakes. We miss you Elvis.

Im so glad that nite didnt turn out even worse for Elvis, im 62 and a straight guy but I still thought the world of Elvis - when he sang/performed on Ed Sullivan and later on the '68 come back special you just knew this was a one of a kind star apart from all others. Im from Illinois in the midwest and never got to see him in person, but my whole family loved him. I still have a memory of when I was very young in the mid sixties me and some other kids went to see Elvis' movie "Speedway" while I was down in Tennessee visiting some relatives - I was SO jazzed up 'cause it was both a car race type movie and it had Elvis in it, im old enough I forget a thing or two now and then these days but ill never forget that evening we went to see Elvis. I just wanted to hear more and more of him as I got older, then that day in august of '77 when I heard he had passed it brought tears to my eyes just like I had lost a close family member - and thats just how it felt, even then he was sewn into the fabric of American pop culture and the loss was felt all over the world not just the US. RIP ELVIS, We will never forget you.

My mother told me, when she was around 12 in the mid 50’s in Laurel,MS that her best friend, told her, “Come on lets walk downtown, Elvis is on a float performing.” My mother replied, “Who?” She hadn’t even heard of him, then, so she went and her best friend shouted at Elvis and said, she don’t even know who you are, he laughed and continued singing while walking to them and handed my mother “That’s alright Mama” 45 record.

Elvis had every right to protect himself at all costs. I am sure there were many people who were obsessed with him to the point of wanting to cause problems. And if Elvis ever threatened to harm anyone , I am sure he would have had good reason. Elvis didn't have time or the patience to put up with crazy fools coming up on stage to attack him. He worked many hours to practice putting together a great show for the people who really loved him. There was no time for ignorance . While many people loved and appreciated him, there were too many others whom were disrespectful towards him. He was the greatest singer and performer I have ever listened . He lifts my spirits and this day and time with all this uncertainty, we really need some Elvis inspiration. Take Care Everyone☺😇

Hi everyone. I actually know the man who our beloved Elvis kicked on the chest. This man is my father-in-law. It was actually my father-in-law, his brother, and 18 other friends that were at that concert sitting at the front of the stage on a long table. Since my father-in-law's brother saw how easy it was for this lady to go up on the stage to Elvis and removed his scarf, he decided to go up on the stage also to shake Elvis hand. And that's how it all started! 😅 Since I don't want to skip any details or say anything in my own words, I'll be talking to my father-in-law and I will come back and post the rest of it. Elvis performed professionally since the early 50’s and until his death in 1977. Being the legend & superstar that he was, he was very well protected and was provided top notch security throughout. Despite loving his fans, they always knew how crazy & quickly things could turn. Elvis & his security team were consistently vigilant and ready for anything. I know, I had the privilege of filling in on that security team in 1976 for a couple of concerts.

I’ve never heard this particular story. However, it fits in with a concert I was at in Lake Charles Louisiana just a couple months after this . While he was performing, one of the huge amps popped really loud and Elvis jumped almost off the stage shouting some really colorful language. Noticing how the audience looked after hearing him cuss like he had done he apologized and explained what was up. He said he’d had some death threats and a recent situation while on stage. I bet that was what he was talking about. Thank for sharing.

My mother told me about how Elvis was in general. Along, with, his way with people: he's a very nice man. But, can also be as mean, as he is nice! Not to be messed with. He's under a lot of pressure, on a daily basis. But as usual, most people just don't get it, or don't care? I'm sure he'd love to meet you. After all. He's family...She told me this when I was 15'. I graduated in June of 77' and just turned 17' planning on traveling to Graceland. Unfortunately he passed away in August, if memory serves? The day he passed. I distinctly remember Walter Cronkite coming over the airwaves, with a special report of his passing. My mom dropped to the floor. Sisters were in hysterics. Even my father was upset. I'm sure he would've enjoyed your video. Then most likely would've shot the computer, afterwards. Nothing personal. He just loved shooting inanimate objects! 😉...

Great true story. I didn't know about it. Thank you, please continue bringing us those true and interesting facts about Elvis's life. This explains many things like why Elvis was carrying guns to the shows and everywhere; I really would too. I was badly assaulted once and I bought a gun but, thanks to God, I stopped carrying it with me all the time. Many things about Elvis people don't know but just jump to conclusions badly criticizing him, WITHOUT knowing the real reason. Like why he started taking strong pain killers (like me until today) after his very bad accident when he ended up in a hospital with broken legs; imagine Elvis singing and dancing, doing those karate movements, etc. without pain killers, and, he never wanted to disappoint the fans. But, those nasty envy people just love to criticize him. Good job.

I got from the movie Elvis that apparently the colonel set up Elvis to be drugged up and paranoid so he did not want to do world tours. Telling him security would cost a fortune. He lied to Elvis telling him he would get death threats or actually had someone to do that to scare him. So he probably paid those guys to come up on stage. He was a very abusive controlling manager. Elvis died because of him.

Elvis wasn’t a believer. Behind the scenes he was into the occult and was obsessed with the works of Madame Blavatsky. He believed that Jesus was getting high and having sexual relations with Mary Magdalene and also said that we all were our own “gods”. His band also said that he admitted to doing gospel music to protect his image. Check out the video on KZbin called “They sold their souls” about Elvis and other artists. They cite their sources incredibly well.

Man, I’ve been touring with some of the biggest stars in country music since the age of 16. (I’m 40) I’ve played beer joints, honky tonks, and stadiums. I’ve had bottles thrown at me, had my lip busted, numerous black eyes from Mardi gras beads, I even nearly got knocked out by an orange once! You learn that if you quit playing whenever something breaks lose, things tend to escalate very quickly. The crowd realizes something is wrong, and things can get ugly. Obviously, there’s a point where you have to stop. Also remember they’re musicians, and everyone on that stage could tell stories of close calls in some sketchy places. It happens. Beyond that, they’re musicians, and you have hotel security, Red, Sonny, and the guys. They have guns, Elvis has a gun on him, and he has formal martial arts training, and was in the army himself. What exactly are you going to do? Besides by the time you could un-ass your instrument, it’d been over. I’ve been there too. If you can, it’s best to do your job, keep playing, and let security do theirs, and hope half the crowd doesn’t realize something is wrong, rush the stage, and people get hurt. Keep people calm. A crowd can turn into an angry mob very quickly. Anyway, just a different perspective for You! Enjoyed the research and the video! Keep up the good work!

Man, this story you told is so fascinating that, a million views, imagine how many views it would have had if there had been footage of that incident! Of course, this shows that you are a good storyteller, maybe one day a short cartoon was made about this story!👏😎
