Have to say, the case is a downgrade from the Tinyhawk cases, the standard size aio board and motor mounting are big steps in the right direction though.

Its GNB's version of a better bt2.0 connector. Xt30s at some9 point gave promising power to micros, and those janky ph connectors are out dates now. So bt2.0, that new one or xt30 way to go depending if you want performance and how much weight you care to have.
@TheRCAddict3 жыл бұрын
I had a much better experience with the BT2.0 🤷🏽♂️

@@TheRCAddict i bought them but never got to use them. Welding to them is finicky at best imo and I feel I'm gonna be breaking wires from the connectors. Eventually I'll give it a go

@@TheRCAddict more current flows thru the bt20 connector on 1s rigs. I think betafpv started the trend of using that connector a while back. But its a pain if you have to swap a ton of tiny Whoop packs over. Luckily all my tw packs are about dead so I’ll have to buy new lipos anyway🤣. Btw great little short quick review. Straight to the point just like I like em. 👍👍

Switched this to XT30 and run the TH 450s, runs amazing and just feeds those little motors. Beast for outdoor acro and I prefer this over my Mob6 for sure!

The PH2 is NOT a battery connector and was never designed to be one taken on and off so much, nor provide the current being asked of it (and neither was the red JST's)... that's why Emax includes a spare connector with the 1S Tiny Hawk as after just 10 connections it 's all down hill. I thought my THawk AIO FCB was failing and the TH needed a new AIO so decided to use it to test out some new self regulated soldering iron tips that run hot (2-3 seconds max heat time) and soldered on one of the new PH2 testing tips and then tried it again to make sure I didn't fry the AIO but still expecting one of the motors to not spin up or the AIO go into failsafe on take off. The problem was the PH2 connector, not the AIO, and all 4 motors were back to spinning up and no more failsafe on takeoff, and flight times were doubled back up to 2min+ flying time outside in the wind being kind to the battery... but a month later the same issues were happening. GNB knows what they are doing and based on what I have read the smaller and lighter weight BT2.0 still has too much resistance for high voltage high C 1S batteries. I ordered the GNB connectors the instant they became available and noticed they are exceptionally well made bullet connectors with no spring contact meaning the precision of the tolerances must be keep very high. They are very tight when new (good thing) but that won't last forever and honestly it's is one the most important improvements made for 1S micros and has been needed for years just as the XT30 was. Some electrical contact spray will help in all regards and extend the life of the connector as without spring contacts wear will loosen them up at a cost in performance. Wish they were smaller and lighter but that's not how Ohms Law works. Personally I will never use the PH2 connector as a battery connector again and glad GNB stepped in with what high voltage high C 1S batteries desperately needed to power micro quads. The 2mm Molex 51006 is a much better higher current connector than the PH2.0 and it's only rated @ 2 amps and fit the JJ1000 back in the day but not the Tiny Hawk. It also has a fair chance of not being crimped properly and letting the wires slip out and I stopped using them by choice after one shorted out an expensive AIO FCB.
